i cant find past lives anywhere, its bloody annoying lord_brummington thank you for your support in this hard time |
Everytime I've seen Past Lives in a shop I've had no money.
I've not heard all of Born Again, but from what I have heard (Trashed, Zero the Hero, Born Again) it seems to sound like a pretty good album. I'll get it eventually. And seeing as I'm bored, heres my list of Sabbath vinyls: Black Sabbath Master of Reality Vol.4 Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Sabotage Greatest Hits We Sold Our Soul For Rock n Roll Technical Ecstasy Never Say Die! Heaven and Hell Mob Rules Live Evil :) |
holy christ thats is a beautiful collection

|
i thought led zep didnt release singles
They released a few copies of Whole Lotta Love, then pulled it off the shelves. It got re-released a few years later but again got pulled off the shelves. I think my Dad's copy may be worth around £200, possibly more. |

im gonna haqve to steal hose from lord_brummingtons house someday
lord_brum is your real name andy? |
"Neon Knights" is taking over "Heaven and Hell" as my favourite Dio Black Sabbbath song :)
|
Happy Birthday Ozzy! :chug:
|
I have no vinyl that I personally own.
Well, one now actually, after my next door neighbours lent me Killers by Iron Maiden and said I could keep it. They also leant me about 10 Motorhead vinyl's and 2 Hawkwind albums. Unfortunately, the only record player in my house is downstairs in the living room where there are usually people who aren't wanting to listen to Motorhead. My dad has a large collection in the attic, I don't know everything that he has as its been a long time since I saw it, and back then I didn't listen to a lot of music that I like nowadays. |

lord_brum is your real name andy?
You sir are correct. Also, most of my vinyl came from my dad, I consider it to be my collection because it lives in my room. |
Happy Birthday Ozzy! :chug:
very good point. i dont have any vinyls :upset: |
theres a shop in newcastle that sells vinyls, tapes and stuff of that nature...but i cant remember where it is
|
this isnt about sabbath but i just listened to sonata artica and they fucking rule :thumb:
thanks for telling me about them andy id put your rep up but i cant for a while |
|
andy have you heard of dragon force?
josh (sack_man) just told me about them they are great (not as good as sonata arctice but...) |
I've seen Dragonforce live :)
Sonata are better than 'force for melody and emotion in songs, and Dragonforce are better for speed and solos. |
i really hate you, you lucky bastard :thumb:
|
Everyone hates me for some reason, mainly for the bands that I've seen + my vinyl collection + my long hair (well, not really the hair) and er...hmm. Yep. |
have you heard the song chapter 11, see no evil?
me and josh couldnt figure out if it was dragonforce or someone else |
Nope.
To my knowledge Dragonforce didn't do that song. |
hmm interesting...
anyways should probably get back to talking about sabbath why do people rarely ever talk about psycho man and selling my soul when they are such great songs |
did that sound resentful when i said that we should probably get back to talking about sabbath?
|
Not really, this is the Official Sabbath thread so Sabbath talk is a must.
Fun fact about Selling My Soul : Bill Wards drumming that he laid down was out of time and he couldn't get it right, so they used a drum machine on that song. Both songs are good, Psycho Man being my fav. of the two. If/when the Sabs do a new album, those two songs might end up on it. |
maybe because they are not that famous....
by the way dragonforce is awsome |
i didnt know that about selling my soul, the last 1 - 2 mins of psycho man when it is sped up is awsome
andy tell me some more power metal bands i need more *now has dragonforce wall paper on computer desktop* |
Human Fortress
Ensiferum Rhapsody Dream Evil Helloween King Diamond (not really power metal but they kinda fit the genre) If you can find the Power Metal thread, give it a read. |
nuclear blast has some really good bands on its label
|
Hey shadow stalker when you said that you could buy vinyls at some shop did you mean new? Because I didnt think that you could buy them new anymore.
|
a friend of mine gave me a black sabbath compilation cd... the songs are:
changes sabbath bloody sabbath spiral architect paranoid never say die am i going insane evil woman hole in the sky snowblind supernaut fairies wear boots zero the hero turn up the night heaven and hell smoke on the water tommorrows dream what are some good songs in that cd? songs with great solos? easy and cool songs to play on guitar? thanks |
anyways should probably get back to talking about sabbath
why do people rarely ever talk about psycho man and selling my soul when they are such great songs
I think because theyre new and while being on Reunion they might be underrated.... whatsoever.
what are some good songs in that cd?
I would say all of them, except for Smoke on the Water (though it's better bys Sabbath than by Purple... :p )... Good solos? i love snowblind's, zero the hero's, heaven and hell's... Easy to play? snowblind, paranoid... i play them myself quite well (i think) and i play for only like 6 months... |
Hey shadow stalker when you said that you could buy vinyls at some shop did you mean new? Because I didnt think that you could buy them new anymore.
i think they are old ones and new ones, the copy of blizzard of ozz that i got was still in it origional packaging so i think it was a newish one the best of black sabbath was in the shop and that is pretty new so... |
easy and cool songs to play on guitar?
paranoid, that is my favourite song to play on the guitar, bass and drums (i would sing it but i cant sing  ) |
Supernaut is fun to play on the guitar. GREAT riff :thumb:
Paranoid isn't exactly hard to sing, but its hard to sing as convincingly as Ozzy. I guess that sums up a lot of Ozzy's singing really..... |
yeah its not hard to sing but i really cant sing to save my life
sympton of the universe is great to play on the guitar but for some reason i just cant get the solo right |
paranoid, that is my favourite song to play on the guitar, bass and drums (i would sing it but i cant sing )
Would you do all four at once? :) |
hey, where can i get a right guitar tabs for Paranoid?
i cant find the right tab on mx cos its mixed up i tried ultimate-guitar but they only have the solo |
if you have guitar pro try mysongbook.com... i myself found the whole song while knowing the riff from some tablature... its pretty simple and should be played on 12th on E and 14th on A strings, you'll find out everything else yourself i think
