ok, thanks for the help...I have one last question I need someone's advice, if this looks ok, I got my patches how I think I want them, but before I sew them I was just seeing what you think, I'm still going to put studs, but I'll do that after I sew, right now there just there with tape, so what do you think, do you think there's to many? the pics aren't the greatest, but any way...

Put the Virus and Operation Ivy ones on the sleeves, and put the (exploited?) one in the center of where those two used to be, under the adicts one.

You have the same backpatch as me. Awesome.

Platinum_twf 01-21-2005 09:10 PM

ok, @ Ihatehate
this was my original design, the red would be the plaid fabric you see on the side, with the patches on top. the gray is studs...but what if I take the ones with the white X's off, or do you think it is that still to many??
Put the Virus and Operation Ivy ones on the sleeves, and put the (exploited?) one in the center of where those two used to be, under the adicts one.
that might be a good idea too...

SantaDuJuan 01-21-2005 09:13 PM

I would take off the little Exploited one also unless the LCB patch is ripped there or something.

Platinum_twf 01-21-2005 09:19 PM

ok, do you think the plaid is a good idea? how many studs do you think I need? I have 100 cones, and 100 pyramids? should I just use one kind, though?

Brain Toad 01-21-2005 09:21 PM

Always get more studs then you think you'll need, because you never know when you are going lose one (I've lost about 4 so far because I didn't attach them well and they got brushed a lot)

Platinum_twf 01-21-2005 09:42 PM

ok, then I think I have a good amount, I might just make it, I'm going to use the cones, if I think I'm going to run out do you think it's ok to use some pyramids too? I need to get some more, incase they fall off, I'll order some tomorrow...

ok I'll post some pics when I'm done...

not very, it's a comfortable weight

Platinum_twf 01-23-2005 04:59 PM

ok, I finished my jacket, tell me what you think...here's the pics

http://www.geocities.com/platinumtwf/dscf0788.jpg

http://www.geocities.com/platinumtwf/dscf0791.jpg

I have one last Q, how can I get the studs to stop reflecting off the black on the jacket? like in the pics they look almost black with just a little dot of silver, like you can barely see them? on the zoomed in one doesn't look to much like it...but when ever I see any ones else's pics it doesn't look like that? will it stop when I start using it and they get worn in?

Nihilism'99 01-23-2005 05:26 PM

Some of the patches on the back seem a little weirdly placed. Haha, my friend had that LCB patch and it just reminds me of a construction worker.

im likin this one way more than the other, you should take some of the ones (the unseen one for instance) and put them on the sleeves

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 01-24-2005 06:31 AM

I like it, you should put some more studs on the front though

MechanicalClockworkOrgy 01-24-2005 05:34 PM

*bump*

how do you make a homemade leg brace for when your in the woods?

honkybrewster 01-24-2005 05:59 PM

That's easy! Get some wood, like some sticks or something, and some duct tape or rope or anything like that.

Jessizzle 01-24-2005 06:03 PM

Piss on it

MechanicalClockworkOrgy 01-24-2005 06:05 PM
Piss on it
tryed that, it only led to infections

Jessizzle 01-24-2005 06:06 PM

Aww. and i thought that solved everything.

Depends. If you have rope or duct tape available, just put some sticks around it and tape/tie it up.

If not, there's a few things you could do.
1) Rip a few lengths of cloth from your clothes and wrap it up with that.
2) Make a makeshift rope from peelings of a live branch.
3) Aputate.

IFlogMyMolly16 01-24-2005 10:21 PM

I have this awesome pocket sized survival guide that I got when I went backpacking. It's so cool. It teaches you how to make rope from animal tendons and stuff. It has EVERYTHING

Does it tell you how to make a spear with which to kill the animal for it'ws tendons, or more importantly, give strategies for trapping/killing anymals?

IFlogMyMolly16 01-24-2005 10:25 PM

Of course it does

Anarcho Poser 01-24-2005 10:26 PM
Of course it does
Cool. That little bit about the animal tendons would be mostly useless, otherwise.

IFlogMyMolly16 01-24-2005 10:33 PM

Yes but like I said, it has EVERYTHING. :)

This is a stupid question but how come some people have stars above their avatar?

username77 01-25-2005 03:41 AM

It represents rep points.
A lot of rep pts=stars

SantaDuJuan 01-25-2005 04:12 PM

A lot of rep pts = bigger ego.
