Cigarettes are bad. Everything would be simpler if they banned cigarettes and legalized weed.

Agreed.

superpeer 08-24-2004 02:42 PM

Well, here in Belgium it's legal. Fairly legal, anyway.

rockeded not rolleded 08-24-2004 02:42 PM
smoking cigarettes is bad. it makes you breathless and spends good money which could be saved so you could build up ur porno collection. but weed is woooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwww!!! (retarded monkey tur into stoned monkey)
Agreed.

You don't have get a high off of cigs. They aren't good for anything.

superpeer 08-24-2004 02:43 PM

Hey, cigarettes are fun.

Tastes so awesome after a meal. Non smokers don't understand.

Paranoidd 08-24-2004 02:45 PM

I feel guilty everytime I light up.

Cigarettes 0WN my ulcer, so it hurts alot. I'm not addicted though...I can go a week without having any smokes, doesn't bother me.

But my father died of cancer (not really due to smoking, but thats irrelevant) so I do feel guilt every time I light up.

superpeer 08-24-2004 02:47 PM

Yeah, I'm not very addicted either. I can go days without it, when someone lights one, I want to have one too, but the urge isn't so strong.

Kingofdudes 08-24-2004 02:48 PM

*doesnt do drugs*

There have been a lot of closed threads today eh?

Paranoidd 08-24-2004 02:50 PM

I also feel it neccessary to point something out: the government is a mjor drug dealer.

I'm pretty sure my father was stoned out of mind when he died.
Why? Because he was in extreme pain.
And what do they give you in a situation like that? Morphine.
And what is morphine a derivative of? Opium.
And what else is a derivative of opium? Heroin.

I think it'd be an interesting fact to see how many people were adminstered morphine shortly before their death. How many people died stoned.

If the government feels it appropriate to administer morphine for physical pain, I refuse to believe that I can't smoke some weed to deal with the mental difficulty of existing in the day to day world in which we live in.

It's only fair.

By the way, if you're interested, the above paragraph is the type of stuff my book entails. I write like that. It's fun :D

Humor99 08-24-2004 02:50 PM

I've been smoking a few "Black and Milds" lately, not bad at all.

I hadn't smoked in a month and half before a few days ago, so I'm alright I think.

Nice :thumb:. I think the gov't should legalize weed, for the following reasons

1. It does less damage to a person's lungs than ciggeretes. A stoner will get stoned once a day. A smoker will smoke on average a pack a day.

2. It's not addictive.

3. It does less damage to a person's mind than alchohol yet alcohol is still legal.

4. The gov't could sell it. They would be the biggest dealers in the world. Make soem money and strenthen the economy.

5. People should be able to put whatever they want into their bodies. It's a basic human right.

Paranoidd 08-24-2004 03:02 PM

Alcohol will never be prohibited again. The effect on the economy would be crippling.

Not just that we'd lose on taxes. Think of the doctors, nurses, health care workers, police officers, etc, etc that would lose jobs.

Do you know what would happen if you prohibted alcohol for 50 years? Think how much healthier people would be. How much less crime there would be. We'd need less hospitals. Less people would be dying. Less people would be dying, and just as much would be being born. The world, which is already overpopulated, would become even more overpopulated.

No, I think the government will leave alcohol exactly where it is.

Bartender 08-24-2004 04:40 PM

Holy shit. I should probably check the Pit a bit more often. I mean, I go in there every day, for Forced Listening, but I don't read the vast majority of threads. Only just found out that Leftie has left..he was one of the better posters :(

Also didn't know Spikey's on holiday.

Paranoidd 08-24-2004 07:37 PM

Well I've had in interesting night. One the way home, some jerk plows into the back of my car doing about 40 km/h, airbag goes off in my face, and my car is now a write off.

I have whiplash, the stupid doctor wouldn't give me any opiates, and I probably have to go for physiotherapy.

And the guy who hit me is extremely lucky my female passenger was crying, because I was going to kick the everloving s'hit out of him. Stupid kid.

Paranoidd 08-24-2004 07:56 PM

The aggravated assault charge I would have received probly wasn't worth my trouble.

He started saying something about adjusting his heat knobs I said "you know whats mroe important then keeping yourself warm? HITTING THE FVCKING BRAKES!!!!"

He stayed near the cop the entire time...and good for him because I was ready to snap

Kingofdudes 08-24-2004 07:59 PM

I cant stand girlie men like that, seems like the type of person that would run straight to the cops as soon as someone even touches them.

Assault and Battery laws really need to have exceptions.

A good and valid point, regardless of how morbid and somewhat depressing it is.

Actually, there'd be a dramatic increase in crime. I'm not referring to the actual smuggling of the alcohol, I'm referring to the violence and such that would accompany the smuggling. It wasn't a coincidence that there was an increase in organized crime and mafia-related violence during the years of the Prohibition.

Excuse me if the post makes no sense but I'm comfortably numb from smoking three large bowls in order to kill the pain in my neck and back.

Re: MAfia

True, but they would be involved with other stuff anyway. I'm a bit of a mafia historian too. I know my stuff. The mafia would have blown up one way or another.

Now, sure organized crime and stuff may be up, but think of all the other crimes that contribute...even small ones add up.

Vagrancy
Public Drunkeness
Abuse
Murder
Drinking & Driving

etc

People have been known to kill someone in a drunken rage...anything like that would be eliminated.

rock not rollin' 08-24-2004 10:48 PM

Nobody's ever heard of someone killing somebody in a stoned range. The person would be too busy trippin' out and being lazy and hungry :p

Exactly...even when I'm high and I get mad, if I see cookies, I forget my what I was pissed about.

Dancin' Man 08-25-2004 08:41 AM

It was In Falmes that did it. I realized, Cryptopsy was my first experience with death metal, but it was In Flames that I first enjoyed. It was like I'd been desensitized to it so I could then enjoy it.

Continue talking about drugs.

Bartender 08-25-2004 08:48 AM

I've got nothing to say about drugs.

I also gain a post.

Bartender 08-25-2004 08:56 AM

Heh, I was just pointing out that if you're all going to talk about drugs, there's nothing I'd be able to say :)

superpeer 08-25-2004 08:57 AM

Sure, M.

Sure.

Kingofdudes 08-25-2004 09:05 AM

Hi guys and goils

Fibonacci 08-25-2004 09:22 AM

Yeah, not to spam, but I wish somebody would say something I could respond to.

Like "How 'bout those.... cars?" or something, even though cars are stupid.

Bartender 08-25-2004 09:58 AM

Yeah, you.

Rush, remember?

Paranoidd 08-25-2004 01:35 PM

Yeah :D

Neil did a 10 minute drum solo without breaking a sweat. It was worth my $80 right there.

Dancin' Man 08-25-2004 06:27 PM

Man, Superpeer and Bartender have pet names it seems. MX is a spawning pit for some wierd sht.

Kingofdudes 08-25-2004 06:33 PM

Bartender 08-25-2004 07:10 PM

All mods have secret code names though.
So...uh...anybody seen any good shows lately?
^^

Also, does anyone have any good shows coming up? I haven't been to any good shows (or even any shows) for a few months now..the last I went to was Wildhearts/Therapy?, which was excellent, but still..it's been a while.

Just found out that I have a chance to see Cult of Luna in October, which should be good. Superpeer's seeing Apocalyptica soon (:()..anyone else?
