his album doesn't sound like blackened royalty
dunno, the vocals remind me of basilisk.

Angmar 09-30-2007 06:04 PM

Sex With Satan the loudest song
Sounds like a hammer from hell
Pyrokinesis and Take This Torch
Sounds that fill me with no remorse

Canadian Metal

Whimsical Uproar, Tortured Souls,
For these ****in' sounds my angry heart calls
Canadian metal, just obey
On your weak sounds (new plastic metal) we will prey...

 wtf.

Thor 09-30-2007 06:13 PM
He even took the lyrics seriously. LOL at thinking Canadian Metal was lyrically breathtaking.
I never said that I did you piece of ****.

Tyler 09-30-2007 06:22 PM

You were saying how the lyrics on the album were ridiculous.

Sup @ the point.

Plus this
Fenriz used to play blast beats, and that’s it. I’m pretty sure on Transilvanian Hunger that’s about all he did. There’s a certain lack of them on this album, as Fenriz is either playing an incredibly basic rock beat or playing at incredibly slow tempos to try and give a pathetic attempt at making the song sound epic
omg he's not playing blast beats wtf? It's black heavy metal, not Dimmu Borgir.

TojesDolan 09-30-2007 06:25 PM

lol

Anyway it could be ambient idk

Txus 09-30-2007 06:27 PM

Hahaha. I seriously think the concept of Canadian Metal is great, a triute to all the great Canadian Metal of the late 80's...plus, the music is pretty neat IMO.

Tyler 09-30-2007 06:35 PM

I've only heard the version on the EP. The one on FOAD is different apparently.

i am the robots 09-30-2007 07:16 PM

Same here, but the version on the EP is freaking awesome.
The new Darkthrone is a ****ing joke man.
Isn't that kinda the point?

Invicta_Veritas 09-30-2007 08:18 PM
i'm not trying to act cool here or anything but for someone thats been posting in here for a while and not to have heard ABITNS until just now is odd. i love that album.

.
I had Total Death and Goatlord for a while and really didn't like them, so I didn't bother checking out any other Darkthrone...until the guys in here told me there was far better Dt than what I had. So I finally recently picked ABITNS up.

get Transilvanian Hunger and Under a Funeral Moon along with that...

LifeInABox 09-30-2007 08:21 PM

But you don't need any of their other stuff tbh.

Invicta_Veritas 09-30-2007 08:21 PM

Under a Funeral Moon was next on my list...although I also need to find more Bethlehem and Tsjuder. I really like them.

I'm too broke right now to be buying a bunch of shit all at once.

NemesisDivina 09-30-2007 08:23 PM

2 CD's 2 CD's you are too broke to spend money on two ****ing CD's?

they are monumental black metal releases...

besides you could always just download them

Invicta_Veritas 09-30-2007 08:26 PM

I get the point, christ, I just think rent is slightly more important right now.....

Thank you for the input, though. They are on my "to get" list.

as they should be... :D

Invicta_Veritas 09-30-2007 08:31 PM

Since discovering bands like Bethlehem, I have actually wanted to find some more slightly obscure BM, but I never want to dick around with the pointless bashing in this thread by certain members, so I don't ask.....

Niflheim 09-30-2007 08:35 PM

yeah dont bother asking

LifeInABox 09-30-2007 08:37 PM

Hey Nifl, do you know if Blut Und Ehre has any released artwork? I'd like to see it.

NemesisDivina 09-30-2007 08:39 PM
Hey Nifl, do you know if Blut Und Ehre has any released artwork? I'd like to see it.
i'd really like to see that as well if there is some...

Niflheim 09-30-2007 08:40 PM

it probably does but I dont have it

tsjuder isn't that good.

dUSK 10-01-2007 09:23 AM
March of the Golgothan Hordes EP, it's pretty typical Aussie stuff - a bit thrashy, etc. Go into the mxrockandmetal room on soulseek and I'll see if you're worthy.
I have far too much gay shit amongst my collection to be deemed 'worthy'.

I'll take my chances getting it via local means, thanks.

NP: Winterfallen - Cleansing

RetiredAt21 10-01-2007 10:09 AM

NP: Coven Of The Worm - Strafgericht

dUSK 10-01-2007 10:14 AM

NP: Forgotten Tomb - Negative Megalomania

Just picked this album up today. Songs To Leave has been getting a fair amount of rotation from me lately, but this is pretty fucking boring so far. Thankfully it was cheap.

Daven 10-01-2007 10:58 AM

I was considering downloading the new FT, but the comments werent good so I guess I wont do so anytime soon.

the2stranger 10-01-2007 11:18 AM

Songs To Leave is great.
I love the hints to early Katatonia.
Not too big on their new stuff.

I'm seeing them in november, I hope they play a lot of old stuff.
Should be cool.

rattlehead42147 10-01-2007 12:14 PM

on that morbid ceremony, i thought the guitar riffs were a bit buried, other than that i thought it was really good. the vocals were the standout performance i would say.
although the artwork you posted nifl didn't seem to fit the music, seemed a bit too colorful.

i am the robots 10-01-2007 12:29 PM

the production on the vocals is terrible, it completely detracts from what would be very good black metal.
