You wanna repeat that last part? Cause I thought you said Saves The Day blows, but that can't be right.

Seriously though, Shook Ones.
Shook Ones is ok, but I'll have to listen to them more before I'll be able to get into them. I actually passed up the chance to see them last week.

And yes, I said Saves the Day blows. I don't like anything I've heard by them.
Killing the Dream are pretty posi.

lol?
I like 'em already.

AndreTheHyena 04-10-2006 11:07 AM

Nick and Griff, check out Patterson Hood's solo album, Killers and Stars. There are some excellent songs on there. It'd be cool to see some of them done as DBT tracks later down the road.

Is Generation X any good?

ratsinthecity403 04-13-2006 10:14 AM

I'm going to get an Amebix album, any suggestions as to what's the best?

nitzguy 04-13-2006 10:34 AM

i would like new folk-punk with screaming in it or one with a really good story teller such as ghost mice and saw wheel. i got johnny hobo, and i like their amount of screaming. anything like that?

Liebensaft 04-13-2006 12:02 PM

O Pioneers!!!

ForThePunx76 04-13-2006 12:22 PM

AIRIC 04-13-2006 01:32 PM

Punk as fux Brad says the Amebix suck.

WHAT HE DOESN'T TELL YOU:

Amebix album Arise! was a pivotol crust punk album, many cite it as the first crust punk album.

You should start yourself into the softer folk-punk, because it's a lot more prevelent than the screamy stuff.

Flagjacket 04-14-2006 04:15 PM

prevalent?what does that mean? O Pioneers!!! is awesome, but not as good as Defiance, Ohio.

Brain Toad 04-14-2006 05:16 PM

I spelt it wrong, but well enough that if you knew the word you'd reconize it.

prev·a·lent
adj. Widely or commonly occurring, existing, accepted, or practiced.

NekroThrax 04-15-2006 11:53 AM

i need some bands to listen to...any German punk bands or German rock...
and something along the lines of the Flatliners, and maybe some ska
thanks

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 04-15-2006 11:55 AM

The only German band I know is Mad Sin. German psychobilly. For ska, check the band list, but I would reccomend, Streetlight Manifesto, The Toasters, The Specials, and the Rudiments

NekroThrax 04-15-2006 11:56 AM

ahh...German Psychobilly...must be good
thanks ill check em out

NekroThrax 04-15-2006 11:59 AM

do you know the name of any Mad Sin albums...that would make my search easyer...

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 04-15-2006 12:02 PM

God Save the Sin, and Survival of the Sickest.

They have a new album coming out too called Dead Moon Calling I think.

Brain Toad 04-15-2006 12:56 PM

Mad Sin are pretty much the best psychobilly band.

Ghostfire3 04-15-2006 01:35 PM

Yes, I quite enjoy Mad Sin. Get Survival of the Sickest, God Save the Sin, and Dead Moon's Calling. Also, let's not forget about Oxymoron for some good German punk.

NekroThrax 04-15-2006 02:11 PM

so Mad sin and oxymornon
think of any more, post em and id be greatful

NekroThrax 04-15-2006 02:13 PM

oh and are there any bands out there like Primus, who focus more on the bass than guitars?

Flagjacket 04-15-2006 02:27 PM
Mad Sin are pretty much the best psychobilly band.
I'm telling you,12 Step Rebels are the best psychobilly right now.

Liebensaft 04-15-2006 04:47 PM

Die Toten Hosen!!

Flagjacket 04-15-2006 06:47 PM

Die Toten Hosen are not psychobilly.

But they are German punk now I getcha.

Die Arzte is the best German punk.
