http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349296&page=1

Its official, we can enter if we want :D
Anyone up for it? I'll play bass and backing (Daron) vocals if needed :thumb:

JMann 06-11-2005 12:54 AM

I'm up for it, I can record guitar unless someone else wants to do it.

azbassman 06-11-2005 01:05 AM

Screw vocals i cant sing but i can do bass

The Bassy Bass 06-11-2005 01:55 AM

Shavos old basslines was pretty easy, the ones in new album Mezmerize! They arent for beginners.

azbassman 06-11-2005 01:57 AM

^Shavo didnt record even half of the basslines on mezmerize daron did

Skit 06-11-2005 04:28 AM

Guitar: JMann
Bass: Skit

We need a drummer (if we cant get one we'll have to use midi) and a vocalist.

Any ideas for songs people?

His basslines are just as easy as they were

Skit 06-11-2005 07:31 AM

Yeah, SOAD have never had hard bass lines :thumb:

JMann 06-11-2005 08:26 AM

So what songs are we doing? I'd like to do Forest and Suggestions, but whatever you guys want to do, I'll do my best to learn it/play it if I don't already know how.

Thor 06-11-2005 08:27 AM

If you guys could pull of Soil that would be awesome.

Skit 06-11-2005 08:29 AM

Well some threads are doing several different songs, If you have the time maybe we could do that?

Soil (if you ok in soloing) or suggestions sounds good, I know all there songs so Im up for anything.

Thor 06-11-2005 08:36 AM

Well here's how I think you guys should go about doing things.

Do one song from each album. Enough said.

RockRevival 06-11-2005 08:39 AM

If you decide on that:

Soil
Shimmy
ADD
Lost in Hollywood

Yeah that wasn't very thought out >_>

Skit 06-11-2005 08:42 AM

Good Idea :thumb:
Heres my suggestions:

Selftitled - Suggestions, Soil, Spiders, War?
Toxicity -Chop Suey, Aerials, Psycho, Toxicity, Needles
Steal This album -Roulette, ADD, Mr Jack
Mezmerize - Violent Pornography, BYOB, Cigaro, Lost in Hollywood
Hypnotize - Kill Rock And Roll

Like I said Im up for anything, But there some of my favs/ones people will recognise off each album :thumb:

Edit: Alot of people are saying soil, So I think we should at least give that a shot :thumb:

I have highlighted the ones me thinks you should do but I don't have STA ok Kill Rock and Roll so can't comment :upset:

Skit 06-11-2005 08:55 AM

I'd love to do psycho, I can get a tab of th live solo and I think that'd be awesome if that could be pulled off :thumb:

We still need a drummer / vocalist guys!

I would attempt to do vocals for you guys if I hadn't blown up my soundcard. However, I have recently got Cubase so if you can't find a drummer I may be able to work out how to use the drum machine on it.

A Drummer And Vocalist Are still needed!
(Its Top of the page, all people viewing will see this ^)

If you could do drums that'd be great, We really need the drums before we can start record IMO, If we have the I can record my bass over them, then the guitars over bass/drums.

If all else fails I'll do lead vocals too, But I warn you, you dont want that!

Problem is that I will have to learn how to use the drum machine on it but I will try :thumb:

Skit 06-11-2005 09:05 AM

We could always use midi... :upset:

Robdrummer 06-11-2005 09:42 AM

Well try to use a person, but if you can't, then go Midi.

Six Foot Revolver 06-11-2005 10:11 AM
