Haha, well I am a chopper fan, and I'm working on getting set up to build one this summer, but I've never actually ridden a motorcycle.

Perhaps you should make an announcement stating what is considered appropriate off-topic posting and what is considered "chat room material." Maybe that would steer things in the right direction?

It should just be common sense, though. We shouldn't need a special announcement to tell people what is spam and what isn't.

You're generally okay though; a lot of the time you seem to make the effort to make your posts as long as possible :)

No one's at absolutely no fault, are they, but we're not trying for a 0% spam rate, just because it's impossible. Page after page of one- and two-word posts and responses, with only a small percentage of it all carrying any meaning, is stupid though. Especially since it can be confined to a chatroom, which we kind of have set as "mxrockandmetal", don't we? I'm not sure, since I haven't been in one for ages.

No, I understand what you mean. I participate in the spam now and then, but generally I find it boring. I usually try to talk about [I]something[/I], or at least I hope I do. It's always hard to gauge what the opinion of me is in the eyes of other members. :-/

But I remember three months into my membership, this thread had maybe 3-4,000 posts. I hate to say it, but after the Ultimate Metal Ban comp--and correct me if I'm wrong--when I (and I'm not trying to take credit for it or assign blame, I'm just saying), zepfan, etc., started posting in here, it started attracting a lot of other people and the post count just exploded in a ridiculous way.

Rep and the consequent whoring for postcount and points had a lot to do with it too.

Well, I do remember when rep was still around and how much whoring went on there... that's where I was at fault, mostly. I would get a ridiculous rep message and post it, without saying anything else besides :lol:, probably. Now that rep has basically been vanquished (well, it's still there, but I don't foresee anyone getting star status in the near future, to be honest), that disappeared, but then, like Bartender said, the one or two word posts can be rather ambiguous. Again, I sometimes fall victim of doing that, so I guess it's the pot calling the kettle black again... but oh well.

Glad you like him :) That's one of his better-known riffs, too, due to bits of it appearing on Tool - Aenima. Remind me to upload some in the uploading thread when I'm back at Uni.

Anyway, I'll leave the thread open for now. If it doesn't improve (quickly) though, I'll just have to close it (with a link to AIM :)).

That's the guy, and yeah, this song rules. First time I heard it I was laughing really loud, he sounds like a really inventive artist.
And yeah, I will remind you, but in the meantime any songs by him that I'd enjoy, on the basis that I enjoyed this one?

I'm not sure..have you actually got a song? Or is it just him talking, doing stand-up, with occasional guitar drifting in and out. If so, you might have some from one of his post-death releases. If not, then I don't know what you have :-/
