No. Tribes. Always tribes. Tribes Reality Bites Mod > All FPS

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 10:41 AM

I've never played Tribes, though, so I can't judge. But my favorite out of all I've played is UT.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 10:43 AM

That is a good game I will admit. I basically only play FPS's and Skateboarding games. RPG's look the most appealing but I get frustrated and quit halfway.

Bartender 08-20-2004 10:50 AM

RPGs are my favourite type of game. Fallout/Fallout 2 rule over all other games.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 11:14 AM

Fallout? Gotta try that one.

I love RPG's, though I have to say my favorite is Chrono Trigger, closely followed by FF3, and FF2.

If you're going to try both Fallout 1 and 2, go in chronological order, since the first one is great, but if you play the second one before it, it'll pale in comparison.

With luck, there'll be a Fallout 3 as well.

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 11:31 AM

Chrono Trigger was awesome. Final Fantasy VII is my favorite RPG, though.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 11:31 AM

Fallout is on PC, right?

Bartender 08-20-2004 11:33 AM

Yep. I think they made an FPS/action game version for the Playstation, but it wasn't very good.

EDIT: I don't know if it's available outside of the UK, but there's a boxed set called Fallout: Radioactive, which is cheap and gets you the awesome Fallout 1, the infinitely superior Fallout 2, and the not so good Fallout: Tactics. Still worth it though; just don't play Tactics.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 11:35 AM

Good.

For gaming, PS > Console.

Especially for FPS. I don't know how anybody can play a fps without a mouse.

I'll take my ASD movement config and inverted mouse over a little analog joystick any day.

I generally play pirated games... :upset: I'll probably find fallout online.

I've had some bad experience...purchased a Braveheart RPG that sucked arse. Also played Star Wars galaxies MMORPG, which was gay and got boring after 2 months, especially if you play it on anything other than a cray supercomputer.

Bartender 08-20-2004 11:42 AM

I've never yet played a "proper" (one that you have to pay for) MMORPG, but it's something I really want to try out. My computer is far from being able to handle it, though.

I know that's not really a decent post, but I had to post something just to get the 666th reply.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 11:45 AM

The MMORPG's don't do that much for me. I get tired of them after a while, and the monthly fee is not fun. Sometimes I'm not home for more than an hour a day so it's pointless to pay for a game I can't always play.

I heard they're doing a LOTR MMORPG though...that should be interesting.

Bartender 08-20-2004 11:53 AM

That does sound interesting. The one I've been most interested in is Asheron's Call (or AC2), just because of the band feature.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 01:03 PM

Anybody want to recommend a car or truck to me? I need to buy one ASAP.

Something 2000 or older, as I get raped on insurance.

Kingofdudes 08-20-2004 02:53 PM
