their new album is great i think, and the single Duality is awesome, great job on the music video too!
|
vermillion is a good video too. not as intense though
|
i was hoping for a video for blister exists or three nil, which are the best songs on the new album i think.
|
I finnaly heard Vermillion, best song I've heard off their new album so far. What did you all think of it?
|
Vermillion is different then their other videos. Thats good tho. Still love em! ALL of their albums rocks. Except for MRFK cause I havent heard it. Heard its good tho.
|
Vermilion is probably my favorite Slipknot song.It has a huge feel to it.Its probably Corey's best performance out of anything he's ever released.Vermilion pt.2 is great also.
|
It is my firm belief that Vermilion is the best song they have ever written. It's probably the only track where all 9 members get to do ALOT in the song...well, Sid's part is minimal, but, he's still there. I love it.
I have also sat and heard MFKR, all of it. And honestly, I can't see why they didn't continue to make that kind of music. Normally, if someone told me "we play a mix of funk, disco, hip hop, ambient and metal" I'd say "You're crazy" but Slipknot did it very, very well on that disc...although I don't like Anders' singing at all. |
Ross Robinson is why they didnt continue doing it.
|
Ross Robinson is why they didnt continue doing it.
Ross Robinson is the worst thing to happen to music. Honestly. Another album like MFKR would've been sweet. And Volume 3 was freaking amazing. S/T and Iowa? Meh. Loud, fast, distorted. Totally underused 9 members. |
I think Sipknot are the best band live.I can't wait for the new DVD to come out. And i Have watched that video of them playing vermilion live, anf they were wearing their "Face" Masks. I am woundering if this is going to be forever. Any one else see this video?(The live one)
|
www.urbanchaosvideos.com has the video your talking about. They only use those masks when they play Vermilion.
|
^^ i heard the new dvd is coming out in february, and i agree they are the best band live.
|
Slipknot are easily the best band in the world, although Metallica come a close second. They are truly excellent live, anyone at downloaad 2004 should know that. I can agree with what some of you are saying about Vol. 3, but i think its a f***ing great album, not as good as the 1st two granted, but it has some truly excellent songs on it, Before i forget for example. I do like the slower ballad-type songs as it shows that Slipknot are'nt just a band that scream and shout, like so many ignorant people seem to think. Corey has an amazing voice. But nothing comes close to Surfacing or Spit it out, they're CLASSICS. As for the list of top 20 songs............. i cant do it, it all depends on my mood to which tracks i like. Stay SIC maggots
no theyre not and metallica is no where near dumbass check out real bands i like slipknot too but anyone who say theyre the best are just stupid
|
wat do u guys rekon is the best album by them?
mine is prob mate, feed, kill, repeat |
i like them all but i would say Vol.3 just b/c i like every song on it, were as on the other albums there are a couple songs i dont like.
|
I love Iowa. To bad the Cd blew up in my Cd drive, it just shattered. But vol:3 is my overall favorite, almost tie with Iowa.

Yeah, Iowa was great....what's your favorite song? |
I love the self titled Slipknot album, I have it on picture disc vinyl.
A question to those that saw them on the Unholy Alliance tour, did they play the first few minutes of ''Iowa'' at one point? I haven't heard the song for ages and I'm not sure if that is what they played. Apologies if this has already been asked + answered. |

When I saw them live wearing the face masks, I was convinced they weren't wearing any form of mask at-all, due to not knowing about the Face Masks. It really confused me seeing Dicknose playing on his drums without wearing his mask. |

Disasterpiese. (especially live) |
man u ppl r lame. still comin here 2 bash the greatest band ever. i think that collectively, slipknot possesses the most talent of ne other band around. also, ive herd many "maggots" say that altho they r tru knot fans, they dont appreciate their new album. i personally think that's sum bullsh*t, cuz the bands just evolving guys! its ok 4 them 2 b a litl different here and there. but 2 get 2 the point, here's my 20 in no particular order:
1. spit it out 2. left behind 3. ppl= **** 4. purity 5. (SIC) 6. eyeless 7. scissors 8. skin ticket 9. (515) - i kno its not really a song, but i think its kool 10. the blister exists 11. duality (altho its a litl overplayed now) 12. vermillion 13.pulse of the maggots 14. heretic anthem 15. circle 16. no life 17. my plague 18. scream 19. liberate 20. everything ends |

You my friend, are very mislead.I love Slipknot aswell but there are MANY bands that posess(or just display) a much higher talent than Slipknot. At one point, I was convinced that they were the greatest band alive.I probably still would had I never listened to any other metal. But hell, who says you have to have incredibly intricate music to be enjoyable.Slipknot is doing a great job with what they do.The fact that they have such loyal fans is proof of this. |

I agree with you. I LOVE slipknot. I think they are great. But. They definatly aren't the greatest. There is always someone better. But on the other hand if someone thinks that Slipknot is the best thing out there, I'm not goin to critisize cause they are allowed to feel that way. :D |

Cool. I was stood there thinking to myself ''what the feck are they playing?'' for awhile, then I recognised the bass line and had a feeling it was Iowa that they were playing. When they play Spit it Out live and get everyone to crouch down is possibly the best part of the show, I've done it twice now  When I saw them in Cardiff I was right at the barrier going nuts, my knees got smashed into the barrier so much. It was worth it though. |
the rules cover all of that....maybe some people should read that.....
Not many people check out the first post of a topic... |

Maybe they don't want to crouch down. I'd tell Corey, that wanker, to go fuck himself. I go to a concert to hear music, not to play simon says.
