I saw Repulsion a few months ago and they didnt do a sound check or anything, the sound was ****ing terrible the whole time, twas extremely disappointing

Repulsion were okay, they played pretty well but holy ****, the soundguy was a serious retard, the drums were way too triggered and the ****ing solos were never heard. Brutal Truth were pretty good, but they played some new stuff (which sucks) so it got boring towards the end. Pig Destroyer were actually the best band of the night, they simply ****ing ruled.

What the hell is drum triggering

It's an electronic sensor thingy attached to the parts of the drum(drum trigger), mostly the bass and the snare. When the drummer hits it, it always gives out the preset sound. Basically like an electronic drum kit. So there won't be a difference of volume etc. in each hit.

Some drummers place them on the bass drums and vibrate their feet so the pedals barely touch it but there's a loud and clear bass drum sound. Some BM bands do it I can't remember one atm.

I don't really like triggered drums, but a lot of bands use it these days. I didnt know Repulsion did, which kinda sucked.

It's OK when they do it on albums. I still don't prefer it but using it live kinda kills it.

Triggers have been out there for quite some time. You probably listened to a lot of albums /w triggered drums.
