May be the wrong thread but how is Obituary
Np: Deicide-Blame it on God |
You'll get a better Obituary response in the Death Heads thread, but they rule! I don't have very high hopes for the new album though...
|
Thats good because I saw a double cd at the used section so I think I will snag it.
|
Obituary! One of my top 5 bands. If that Double CD was the Slowly We Rot/Cause of Death one, pick it up straight away. Even if it was the World Demise/The End Complete one, still pick it up. Old school DM at it's best!
NP: Obituary - Chopped In Half |
Ouch, one post since last night... and yes, definitely get it if it's a Double CD with Cause of Death and Slowly We Rot.
|
I don't have very high hopes for the new album though...
Why's that? |
Obituary, another band I get to see at Wacken this year. :D
NP: Testament - Disciples of the Watch |
Why's that?
2 reasons. They were on a downward spiral when they quit, and reunion albums usually suck. |
****it! Someone bought it, so I bought Rabbit Don't Come Easy.
|
does any thrash fans like alice cooper. im into thrash and i just love alice cooper. he isnt anywhere near thrash, but still a great artist. he is the marilyn manson of the 70's and 80's. and never seen him, but so ive herd that he's GREAT live.
|
I like him. He supposedly put on an excellent show with many special effects.
|
Alice Cooper is awesome, as his band was the original riff monster in my eyes.
I would never compare him to Marilyn Manson though, ever. |
Well I've finally recieved Relix IV by Overkill.
It may not be as good as some of the other 'Kill albums, but it's still great in my eyes. Probably thrashier than Killbox, but not as heavy, and I really appealed to the heavy sound in Killbox
Here's a review on it if you're interested: http://www.entertainmentforums.greatboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=106&gb=entertainmentforums |

You mean Manson is the Alice Cooper of today... |
I doubt that, you can't compared the two guys either, because one is a kickass dude (Alice) and the other is one of the worlds biggest fruitcakes (Manson).
I'm sure Manson tried to steal a few things from Alice for shock value, but anyone who is actually shocked by that stuff, is pretty much a pathetic loser |
but anyone who is actually shocked by that stuff, is pretty much a pathetic loser
Haha, well said... |
Manson was never scary. GG Allin is the real deal.
/this is the official return of deftoned - under a new account! |
Deftoned! The Kreator (clever eh?) of our masterful thread.
Why the account change? |
Just downloaded Watchtower's Energetic Disassembly. Im liking it a lot.
|
Eh, sick of having my musical tastes solely associated with the deftones due to that old name. Idiots seem to think I don't know my Akercocke from my Anthrax, purely because of that title. It's been a while, but finally im on cable internet! wOOt!

Doug Keyser is an insaneeeeee Bassist.

Yeah, that'd suck. Fortunately I was one of the people aware of your musical knowledge. Gonna be round more now you have cable internet? Oh yeah, I'm in the process of uploading the Mad Butcher EP by Destruction, for everyone that's not heard 'em, so sit tight. |
Yeah I'll be here rather often. I'm on school holidays at the moment, so I'll be maxin' here alot. Hows uni been? Still got that thrash crew there?
|
Haha, Uni? me? Nah, that was Joel (JMet). I don't know what's happened to him... seems to have disappeared.
Sadly, I'm an unemployed bum. Edit: Ok, it's finally uploaded. Destruction - Mad Butcher |
Cheers ThrashMaster!

I spoke to him on soulseek a while ago. He said he has given up the whole forums thing, and real life is rocking as a result! He is still on soulseek regularly though. |
Wow, I'm the longest member that's still active on here.
I'm proud. NP: Megadeth - Hook In Mouth |
What about griffin?
|
I meant in the thread.
|
oh right. :upset:
|
Thanks to ThrashMaster, my IPod will be happy XD
I downloaded all of All Hell Breaks Loose, except I didn't get the intro. I didn't feel it was neccessary. Plus the sample didn't work so I was like "****it". Other than that I actually like. May take a few more listens to grow on me, but it. Ooo I love this song *thrashes* XD |
Razor needs to play some shows in the southeastern United States. I really would like to see them!
Welcome back deftoned! I wasn't around when you created this thread, but many thanks for doing so. It's definately the best one on MX IMO. NP: Horde Of Torment - Product of A Sick Mind |
I did a quick research on "Decibels", and supposedly, it's just like any other Razor album. Fast, heavy, full speed ahead and no compromising. It's said to be probably one of the last best releases from the band...I better go back and read that review and do some more research a bit.
Personally, I think Evil Invaders is a **** good CD. Now what makes it more funny is if you put "in my pants" at the end of any song you're listening to. XD |
Ok, it's gonna take ****ing ages. But I'm uploading Coroner - Mental Vortex for you all. It was almost an hour uploading the Mad Butcher EP....so you ****ers best have downloaded it! anyway, I know Mental Vortex is a tricky album to grab so you can grab it here.

XD
Decibels isn't the best Razor release... not musically, lyrically, anything, but it is still decent. RCA, Razor isn't gonna be playing there any time soon... they hardly ever play. They've played 2 shows in the past 2 and a half years. Both shows were in Toronto...and now it seems the band has fallen off the face of the earth. All the members are doing other projects right now, except for Dave Carlo, who injured his arm a while back. |
Evil Invaders.
You got your best release there. |
Evil Invaders.
You got your best release there.
It is an excellent. Nowhere Fast = pwnage XD I'm just waiting for RCA to be on SlSk, but it says he's away. He was going to give me Violent Restitution, but I can wait a bit. ThrashMaster, thanks for the Mad Butcher upload. Now I can have a learning track when I trying to play the song on guitar. Oy, and the rest of the album is good too  |
Welcome back deftoned :D
I had quite a big haul today, picked up Speed Kill Hate - Acts of Insanity, Overkill - Necroshine & From the Underground and below and Exodus - Pleasures of the Flesh. I absolutely love SKH, they're quite brutal imo, great thrash. I went to a different city today and was delighted when I found them, I think I'll be making that journey a lot more now :D |
