Dont forget Revolution 9, though I dont like it much.

Heh.. no one can say that I have a weak Beatles collection now. :D

Picked up A Hard Day's Night, Help!, Beatles For Sale, Let It Be, Magical Mystery Tour, Revolver, and Yellow Submarine (which is the only one that disappointed me).. in addition to The White Album, Sgt. Pepper, Rubber Soul, and Abbey Road. I spent all night reading about The Beatles and listening to their music, which was a night well spent, in my opinion.

Revolver is definately one of my favorites.. im finding that I enjoy the later material a lot more than the earlier, poppier stuff.

NP: Beatles - Love You To

EDIT - And be sure to put the playlist for it on here when you're done!

I found this about the Helter Skelter 'jam' last night, I knew you guys would be interested, "During the July 18, 1968 sessions, a version of the song lasting 27 minutes and 11 seconds was recorded, although this version is rather slow and hypnotic, differing greatly from the volume and rawness of the album version. Another recording from the same day was edited down to 4:37 for The Beatles Anthology, Volume III. For the album version, recorded on September 9, eighteen takes of approximately five minutes each were recorded, and the last one is featured on the official LP."

robo2448 04-15-2006 12:42 PM

I've been known to spend full nights reading the Beatles Anthology. I go a long time without touching it, but whenever I pick it up and start it, I can't put it down. It's fantastic. So I'd say that was a night very well spent.

I'm a little late on this, but I have A Hard Days Night, Help, Yellow Submarine, and Concert for Bangladash on dvd.

Ephemeral 04-15-2006 12:57 PM

Hard Day's Night is such a funny movie.

'He's a very clean man, isn't he.'

robo2448 04-15-2006 01:02 PM

Yeah it's hilarious. I was watching it a couple months ago with a non-Beatles fan friend and I was completely cracking up constantly and my friend thought I was crazy or on drugs. Non-Beatles fans just don't understand. That movie is seriously awesome though.

El_Goodo 04-15-2006 05:58 PM

Yeah its a great movie! Has anyone seen Help? I tried to order it in at HMV but they said its discontinued. You can imagine my disapointment. *Flashback of crying myself to sleep*

Tusk 04-15-2006 09:13 PM

I want to see Let It Be, the documentary.. but I cant find it anywhere.

I have tried so Hard to find that movie. The only Beatles movie I have been able to find and watch is Help!.

blue3 04-15-2006 09:20 PM

Really? It's the opposite for me, I can never find Help.

robo2448 04-15-2006 09:23 PM
I have tried so Hard to find that movie. The only Beatles movie I have been able to find and watch is Help!.
Really? That's weird. A Hard Days Night is the only one I found in stores. I bought Help and Yellow Submarine used from my library for like $2.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2006 09:26 PM

Hmmm... that is odd. Help was a rental though. I'm sure I can find it on ebay.

Yeah its the same thing with Yellow Submarine. Though I don't see how people not intergrated into the Beatles world would ever understand that movie to the extent that a huge Beatles fan would.

Ephemeral 04-15-2006 11:46 PM

Yellow Submarine is really strange. I don't like it as much as Hard Days Night.

BludgeonySteve 04-15-2006 11:59 PM

Nobody likes it as much as Hard Day's Night. ;). I'm not much of a fan of it. I can't take their joke songs seriously. Plus it doesn't have a great melody,

Kaleidoscope Eyes 04-23-2006 12:21 PM

I'd say A Hard Day's Night and Help were the coolest, but if you have an open mind Magical Mystery Tour is a real trip

I don't even think the Beatles are in Yellow Submarine

Has anyone seen SPLHCB with the Bee Gees? It looked bad...

Prince of Darkness 04-23-2006 12:43 PM

I liked the pop Beatles era, but when I listen to Abbey Road and White Album, you can seriously see their progression from goody-goody pop to Rock.

I've never heard Sgt. Peppers. is this bad?
