Using laughing gas recreationally is grrreat.

theredwonder 02-07-2005 05:06 PM

SooOOOo, i've just been to a local Battle of the Bands. It was so good, i managed to fall asleep 4 times. That's why i came back to get some sleep.

Unfortunately that turned out to be my new codeword for "post on Mx hasta las madrugadas"
I thought it was great. Just a bunch of huge black guys in helmets running into each other at high speed. I didn't know wtf was going on.
You watch some NFL, I'll watch some rugby, we can get confused* together. And laugh at injuries too, because despite all the padding those NFL guys get beat up pretty regularly.

*Drunk.

I used to like Keane, until i found out it wasn't pronounced "key-ON-ee", but "keen".

Hey man, I get confused watching rugby too.

Most sports confuse me. I mean, why would you be out there in the freezing cold, risking serious injury, just to entertain a legion of fat fucks who sit at home drinking beer and shouting advice at arbitrary groupings of pixels?

Yes, I know the answer is money. And the occasional chance of knobbing a celebrity. But still.....there MUST be easier ways!!! Invent and patent a new adhesive or something.

Zmev 02-07-2005 06:33 PM

I have achieved 2 roles in the musical, not one but 2.

Horray for me and boo for everyone else who isn't me.

Iai 02-07-2005 06:38 PM

Hey, what a coincidence! I just invented and patented a new adhesive!

theredwonder 02-07-2005 06:40 PM

Yet you're still on Mx. I wonder, could he be mail ordering brides to maintain this facade?

pikester 02-07-2005 06:47 PM

simple answer: yes.

Electrocution 02-07-2005 06:54 PM

Check out my rad review.

pikester 02-07-2005 06:56 PM

The problem with CD reviews... is that people only review CDs that they like.

Bartender 02-07-2005 06:57 PM

Or that they really don't like.

Iai 02-07-2005 07:00 PM

I've given a handful of albums 3/5.

pikester 02-07-2005 07:03 PM

either one... you get biased reviews.

Wanker 02-07-2005 07:10 PM

Even with the albums I really like, I just can't find myself giving out a perfect score.

Robert Crumb 02-07-2005 07:14 PM

Every review is inherently biased. But I get and probably would agree with your point. Should we rape and pillage now or later?

onlybadnews 02-07-2005 07:16 PM

jebus. I haven't been on mx in a long time. anything interesting happen while I was gone?

Iai 02-07-2005 07:17 PM

I usually just take the ratings straight from my RYM page. Only 42 have 5 stars - 105 have 3.5/5, and 122 have 4/5, and 76 each have 3/5 and 4.5/5.

That, in the broadest sense possibly, is the albums I like. And all but 1 of those 42 with 5 stars have already been reviewed. Only Kate Bush left. And Bill Hicks, but he doesn't really count as such.

So I'm not going to be giving any other albums full marks any time soon.

Wanker 02-07-2005 07:31 PM
jebus. I haven't been on mx in a long time. anything interesting happen while I was gone?
nah.

YDload 02-07-2005 07:32 PM

Read my reviews for Static-X, Green Day, or Fear Factory. Those were some CDs laying around the house that I did on a whim and felt were just mediocre.

crazyGUITARnDRUMgal 02-07-2005 08:07 PM
:) why?
im not sure , but i always say it outloud
