O my God, I just listened to the AWS song again, and it's bloody amazing. Sorry for bashing them last night guys, they're really good.
I give you credit for realizing the errors of your ways, but it will still take a lot for me to take you seriously again. :p |
Boys Night Out are amazing!
|
There weren't enough ska bands on the warped tour this year, and too many generic pop-punk bands that all sounded the same.
|

123!! |
The Malcontents and Big D were plenty for me.
I'm hoping Warped will be sweet next year. NOFX, Rise Against, and Anti-Flag. I'll go for those alone. |

Yeah, two of my top 5 favorite bands are on it already. I can't wait.

This year Warped'll be sweet, I know tons of people who want to go with me too. Gaby's rendition of me |
Is AWS playing this year? I definitely missed them last year. I heard Famous Friends and I was like  so I ran over there, but I missed it. :(
|
Vince, why do you have a bear? :p.
Boys Night Out are amazing!
Trainwreck is a great album. /goes back to learning pentatonics K, I know most of the theory behind these, but how are you supposed to make them into solos or whatever..? Do you just kind of switch between modes? Or do you just play around and just make sure you stay in key? Or both? |

Man I missed Thrice I watched Matchbook Romance instead and they blew.
trainwreck is probably one of my top 5 favorite albums at the moment
Make Yourself Sick is better.
trainwreck is probably one of my top 5 favorite albums at the moment
I went crazy at NFT when Boys Night Out played. |

But just like any scale/mode...you play them in key usually. Zach: MBR over Thrice? Shame on you. |
Zach: MBR over Thrice? Shame on you.
Oooo I know tell me about it I should get in big trouble for that. I payed for how much MR hurt my ears. They must have been having a bad day. |

Meh. I still need to learn them. I know most blues scales already. And they aren't really that different :-\ |
Oooo I know tell me about it I should get in big trouble for that. I payed for how much MR hurt my ears. They must have been having a bad day.
Even on a good day they're not nearly as good as Thrice. Brandon: If you know Blues scales you're better off with those than pents. |

Brandon: If you know Blues scales you're better off with those than pents.
You think? I don't know, Pents seem a lot more commonly used.. I'm not really planning on soloing much anyways. I'd like to learn how to write decent chord progressions but at the moment none of it makes sense to me. I need to get one of those little posters with tons of chords on them or something. I only know like 3 chords :-\ Ugh. I hate not being able to get really good at something fast. I'm so used to it. |

Ugh. I hate not being able to get really good at something fast. I'm so used to it.
*abused And it's because people are too lazy to figure out what other notes fit well in the key. Pents are more "versatile" because there's fewer notes. Learn barre chords and you're set. If you can get those you can write the bass and the rest will just fall into place. Scales don't help much with the theory of actual chord progressions. |

I wish I could print something off really huge and then stick in on my wall.. Like a homemade poster. I hate having to look at my computer constantly while trying to learn. Blindness++ |

Well, it's easier for me to stand up and look at a big picture on the wall than to stand up and look at a tiny little picture on the computer screen. (I find it easier to play standing up)

Useful skill, I sure don't. Master playing standing up and singing at the same time and you are set. |
Make Yourself Sick is better.
No. /yeah, it was mad when BNO took the stage :p Oh, i also find it easier to play standing up, unless you wear your guitar strap as low as Tom Delonge  i dont know how he can play with a guitar at his knees |
No.

I also play with mine low though. My right hand falls naturally onto the bridge when my arm is relaxed. Easy palm-mutes  |
heey everyone!
wats cooookins? and look! its me and half of MBR! (oh yeah and ShangBang is there with me, but of course hes not good at the whole picture thing:rolleyes:) http://myspace-260.vo.llnwd.net/00357/06/27/357897260_l.jpg |

I can stand up and sing. Now I'm lerning the actual playing part of it :p. But yeah, that is what I planned on. Question; I'm learning the A minor and major pents. So this means that I'm playing in the key of A right? So then what if I want to play one in C or F? Would I just alter it to fit the key? If so, this is much easier than I thought.. Edit: I play with mine low, and yeah, I do find that the higher frets are a tad more difficult to reach, but nothing that really hinders my ability to play.
its me and half of MBR!
