Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2005 10:21 AM

There's something about the headstock and body shape I don't like.

Radiobass81 03-30-2005 10:24 AM

Musicman-ish headstock and reverse thunderbird body.

It looks gorgeous to me, although I dislike the "stripes". It's less than a grand, I can tell you that much... If I'm lucky, it's at $600.

It's a very particular bass. Seems like someone ripped apart a Thunderbird and made this; Gibson tuners and knobs, possibly the bridge as well.

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2005 10:27 AM

Fretless basses are very nice though.

I've only played one once, but I liked it. It was a Godin or something.

Radiobass81 03-30-2005 10:28 AM

Wenge fretboard.

:)

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2005 10:30 AM

What is that on it right after the nut?

Radiobass81 03-30-2005 10:34 AM

What?

The Tuners?

String guiders?

Part of the BassCentral logo?

Radiobass81 03-30-2005 10:35 AM

Oh, the black thing on the right?

That's to "lock" the bass on the wall stand so it doesn't fall.

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2005 10:37 AM

[QUOTE=Radiobass81]Oh, the black thing on the right?

Okay, that is what I was asking about.

I couldn't tell if it was part of the bass or not because that picture doesn't give any hint to what it could be.

Radiobass81 03-30-2005 10:40 AM

Think it's worth it?

Spaceman Spiff 03-30-2005 10:44 AM

It just depends if you like it or not.
I don't really know anything about it, but the price seems reasonable.

Now I feel absolutely pants.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 01:08 PM

Just to prove peeted wrong, I may go and post in some real thread. See you around the Bass and R&M forums! :thumb:

No Dan, you fool. Theres like one. But the pit IS full of dumb threads today.

I'm emo nowadays.

(thats a lie)

neal_672 03-30-2005 01:43 PM

"The Pit is full of dumb threads" would have been more correct Paul, it's not just today, it's everyday unfortunately

Hey all

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 01:51 PM

Now that I think back to my Pit days........................... there really were no good threads.

neal_672 03-30-2005 01:52 PM

The Pit has always sucked, i used to check it out once upon a time but it just sucked...

its an oar

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 01:54 PM

I used to hang around the R&M forum.

Mainly the Metallica thread. But when the same topics kept coming up I got sick of it and found out that the Bass Forum were sooooo much better.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 01:56 PM

I find a lot of people in R&M to be boneheaded... I don't frequent it very much nowadays. That's the last time I make a valiant attempt at defending Korn...

neal_672 03-30-2005 01:57 PM

Psh R&M is full of dicks in general. Alt & Indie is the next friendliest forum after this one :thumb:

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 01:58 PM

It's hard to defend Metallica.

People don't seem to realize the brilliance in the writing of their songs. Even St. Anger was better than nearly all of the punk albums out there nowadays.

Mitchell Royce 03-30-2005 01:59 PM

Hey-ho, how's everyone doing today?

Ohh boy do I have a surprise for you people coming up. Hopefully by the end of next week. I can only give away so much: My bank account is no longer fat and bulging but instead as trim as an anorexic 12 year old.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 02:00 PM

If St Anger had a different drumtrack, and half the songs were shorter, it would be amazing. Solos wouldn't go amiss, but that's what makes it St Anger. People look at what isn't there with that album instead of what is.

That, my friend, is a matter of taste. I could recommend a few punk(OK, probably post-punk) that are really cutting edge song-wise. Ever heard of The Walkmen or Ten Grand?

neal_672 03-30-2005 02:01 PM

I like Metallica :thumb: but it's all death/black metal in that place.

You spent a lot of money then Mitchell? But i'm fine thanks, how are you :thumb:
