I am on it.

karmapavementplan 09-02-2009 01:11 PM

Just got back from france - I found a comic where the main character is a bassist! Coolest ****ing thing ever. No idea what it's about.

If anyone could tell me... or direct me to an english version...

Moon Flavor 09-02-2009 01:12 PM

looks like a guitar to me...

karmapavementplan 09-02-2009 01:16 PM

I was undecided. It was called debaser and the tuning pegs are huge so I did delude myself a little.

Efrim 09-02-2009 01:50 PM

its a gay porno

karmapavementplan 09-02-2009 02:45 PM

Awesome news! Friends got me tix to go see sonic youth in London Forum - small gig about 800 people. Damn cool.
Definitely go with a dark trans color.
Definitely do not go with a disgusting sunburst.
Meh, I like the sunburst. I do prefer the tranparent crimson, though.

As for Teles being "overdone" or whatever, who really cares?

gaslight 09-02-2009 06:38 PM

Yeah that comic guy has a guitar.

Don't worry about teles being overdone. It isn't their fault they're in huge demand.

I wonder why they're suddenly so popular. Maybe it was because Mick of Sliptknot has started playing a custom tele-copy?

They've always been popular. I don't see why it matters or why it is an issue all of a sudden.

And for the last time, that comic kid is cleary playing an electric guitar.

Says the guy who copied Rivers' guitar.

gaslight 09-02-2009 10:06 PM

People who like being original?

That's so dumb I won't even address it.

Epidemechanical 09-02-2009 10:06 PM

lets talk about how nobody understands what mastering is

gaslight 09-02-2009 10:07 PM

Let's talk about you ****ing off.

Haha nah I like you man, what's up? I'm going to have some bitchin' art to show you for the Cuss album in a little while. I'm only getting to work on it in tiny chunks but you'll like it I'm almost positive.

Spaceman Spiff 09-02-2009 10:08 PM
Yeah that comic guy has a guitar.

I didn't even know that they're popular right now or in huge demand. I just don't really pay attention to that stuff. I just go after what I like.

Spaceman Spiff 09-02-2009 10:09 PM
lets talk about how nobody understands what mastering is
I don't really know what mastering is, but my album is now mastered, repeat, finished.

Epidemechanical 09-02-2009 10:09 PM

who did the mastering

gaslight 09-02-2009 10:09 PM
I didn't even know that they're popular right now or in huge demand. I just don't really pay attention to that stuff. I just go after what I like.
I meant in huge demand over time since their invention.

This is the first I'm hearing of some kind of tele trend.

gaslight 09-02-2009 10:10 PM
I don't really know what mastering is, but my album is now mastered, repeat, finished.
Lovely, when may we listen? :)

Spaceman Spiff 09-02-2009 10:14 PM
who did the mastering
Our drummer recorded/mixed/mastered the album.

I haven't listened to it yet, it was just finished today, but I'll get it in the next few days. We'll have it streaming on myspace soon.

Spaceman Spiff 09-02-2009 10:16 PM

I don't know about any trend? I just like Teles. And I want one.

gaslight 09-02-2009 10:16 PM

That makes two of us about not knowing about a trend.

I'm on your side with this tele business, they're a good guitar, if you want one, get one. Sweet as.

Epidemechanical 09-02-2009 11:05 PM

i really doubt he mastered the album

like i really really doubt he did

unless he owns like a real studio

putting a track into recording software and pushing the overall level up 3 dB isnt mastering

EQing a track in recording software isnt mastering

Mr. Pickle 09-02-2009 11:10 PM
Says the guy who copied Rivers' guitar.
Yeah, because I said I care about being original. I just said it was a dumb question.

Shall we review the events? I'll even simplify it for you two.

You: "Who cares if someone buys something a lot of people already have?"

Me: "People who like to be original, which implies they don't want things that many people have and would rather have something a little more rare."

Make sense, or do you need to take notes?

Sablate McNuff 09-02-2009 11:17 PM

So, do you think bubinga would take a nice red or deep purple stain?

I may cruise up to the local Woodworker's Supply and buy a small piece to test it out.

funkyhoney 09-02-2009 11:41 PM

I play a jazz copy with a pbass neck, dimarzio pickups and a gotoh bridge with vintage jazz volume pots and a custom would 300k tone pot because I don't like fenders that much.

funkyhoney 09-02-2009 11:46 PM

Also I put a series/parallel switch in it because I discovered I like parallel a bit more.

da_s_man13 09-03-2009 05:22 AM

No, you did that cause your a tight arse/douche.
