Well, it seems more plausible that they're there to trick you because everything he says is "wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh wuh wuh wuh wuh wuh oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaag"
Isn't that what I was saying? That he's not really saying anything at all, he's just making crazy noises... |
Cryptopsy are cool if you like extreme noise, not if you're looking for music. Lord Worm doesn't even say the lyrics that are printed in NSV! They lyrics are printed there just to trick you!
Go listen to Slayer, you're clearly not 1337 enough for Cryptopsy! :thumb: |

psssh. whatever... |

My usage of the "word" "1337" should clue you in as to me not being serious. |

cryptopsy is very musical, i really don't know how you can support stating that theyre just noise. |

I guess I didn't get what you're saying... |

And his usage of "" should clue you in that he was too... edit: maybe not.. Now the real mystery is why everybody like Disgorge... |

I don't get it...
cryptopsy is very musical, i really don't know how you can support stating that theyre just noise.
well, I mean sure they're talented and all, but it just comes off as a "wall-of-sound" type thing to me... nothing is really decipherable. Plus, if I remember correctly, his bass was tuned so low it didn't have notes... kinda like Fieldy's didn't have notes. So damn low, it was just like "bass noise." |
And his usage of "" should clue you in that he was too...
edit: maybe not.. Now the real mystery is why everybody like Disgorge...
The mexican Disgorge? They are awesome man! |
Seriously, why would they not be considered good?
Crazy riffage, insane drumming, balls out vocals (on NSV), etc.
yeah, they all do that terribly. |
The mexican Disgorge? They are awesome man!
I...think they sound like suck. @subsonic: 1) Nope, he's tuned to drop C or MAYBE drop A (I don't remember) but he sounds perfectly fine. Actually, pretty audible on NSV, although his playing style is sometimes similar to fieldy's in that he slaps everything for no reason. 2) Fieldy's playing on the first korn album was absolutely PERFECT. |
too bad nu-metal has such a high garbage content that any good bass playing or whatever is totally negligible because the rest of it is just so horrible.

Are we talking about the same band that released Gore Blessed To The Worms? There are two Disgorges btw. I absolutely love the bass playing in Slit Your Guts and (especially) Benedictine Convulsions. I went through a HUGE Issues and FTL phase when I was a youngin, but I still can't listen to them now past a few songs. |

If any death metal sounds like a failed attempt at trying to be as intense as possible, it's that. About tuning, because I'm not sure if he plays a 4 or 5 string. I'd assume if he plays 4, it's in drop C because B is a far stretch to tune down that far. However, a lot of bassists with 5-strings tune the bottom string down to A, so I just threw that out there. It's very possible it's in B though... |

Blasphemy Made Flesh? I've heard that one once or twice I believe... |
For a brutal band, Cryptopsy are very listenable and accessible tbh.
The only time the 'wall of noise' thing could be annoying is on their later albums where the production blurs it into a thick churning mess. |
Yeah, but they're still awesome.

There's definitely method in their madness.
'robots, indeed they are :) |

Oh damn! I'm really sorry Master, I'm sorry I can't exactly remember the name of every generically titled death/black/grindcore album ever off the top of my head. I should know better than to cross you, I know the kind of punishment you can deal. I'm very sorry, will you ever forgive me? On second thought... **** You. |
Summer Supremacy!

Haha, you have anger issues man.

you talkin' about me, or Nifleheim? 'cuz I'm not the pissed off dude who's attcking someone for a minor album title mistake... |
Anyone like Wormed?
And how can this not be considered good jcs? http://www.sendspace.com/file/h4inpl |

Because everyone is going so fast and so technical that there isnt much left to enjoy...I downloaded a drum solo and it lacked anything that was creative or what hadnt been heard on a record and dare I say almost, sloppy....very fast though |
unenjoyable =/= noise
