Talos 12-16-2006 01:21 PM

Anyone know how I can improve the acoustics in my bedroom because my snare sounds really bad in here, but it sounds good when the acoustics are good.

Josiah 12-16-2006 01:22 PM

Tune it for the room. Throw up some soft things on the wall, change the position of it.

fishbulb 12-16-2006 01:23 PM

Mastodon is such a cool band. Has anyone seen the Workhorse Chronicles DVD? Brent does his whole interview part while in the shower or brushing his teeth. And Brann's got either a roadie or their driver (can't remember, could be neither) as his butler during his.

Awesome DVD if you like the band.

SlincoJ 12-16-2006 02:37 PM

Mastadon are pretty sweet,so ill see about checking that dvd out.

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. I've only been working at my job (youth centre, for anyone who's interested) for over a month now, and one of the kids there who I've really become friends with asked me what I wanted for christmas. Out of the 5 people that work there, he's only buying me a present. Then he's buying one for the place as a whole, but I'm the only individual one. Made me so happy when he told me. I tried convincing him not to buy me anything, as he's 14 and obviously doesn't have a real job, but he said him and his brother (who I'm also good friends with) are pitching in to buy me something.

:blushes:

Josiah 12-16-2006 03:04 PM

Tell him like drumsticks or something... ya know?

Cheap, useful, meaningful

Josiah 12-16-2006 03:07 PM

The end of the world...

My girl got me anew Dockers Wallet, it's nice. I'm taking the tags off, and one of the inside tags says "made in china" then on the other side of the tag it says "hecho en china"

now the chinese are even catering to the hispanics

You'll always remember who gave them to you, also. That is, however, until you need new ones.

Pssh. Fine. Leave it to me.

I reckon its the strain of having to lift your rolls out of the way to touch those pissflaps that get no attention whatsoever off anyone else.

Win A Rabbit 12-16-2006 03:28 PM

Oh, and another cute story from yesterday. I was talking to one of the kids, and he was asking me if I could make his band a couple tshirts. I told him I'd eventually get around to it, but I've got some other ones I've gotta make first. I asked him what his band name is. Well, here's the story of it.

They had been together for over half a year, and didn't have a name. They're sitting in the drummer's basement one day, and they're all trying to come up with a band name. They turn down name after name, until the drummer says "Okay, you choose a name. Whatever you say, that's our name." He thinks for a minute, gives up, and says "I don't know."

And that's their band name.

fishbulb 12-16-2006 03:34 PM

"I don't know" is your band name?

Drum Phil 12-16-2006 03:36 PM

Reread it.

He aint talkin bout his band.

Mastodon are cool. Guys were neat enough to hang out with us at a bar in Amsterdam until they had to get to the bus. Those guys can DRINK. I even did a cool interview with Brann, which is LOST ON MY CRASHED HARDDISC ****ERS.

Win A Rabbit 12-16-2006 04:37 PM

So my dad's all about cutting costs around the house. If there's a deal on something, he jumps on it. Like ink cartridges. Re-fillable ones are way cheaper than normal ones.

Except I'm the one who always refills them.

You'd think I'd get better at it as I went on, but no. Here's pics.

This stuff doesn't come out for days. :( Last time I had black ink covering half my hand, in a big splatter design.

Bonham#1! 12-16-2006 04:42 PM
