idk man [I]Echoes[/I] refined some stuff in a lot of ways, I had my doubts at first but it really came together in the end.

the music in the first was much better and a large part of it's appeal though, very little was memorable in the second. entering the Sunken Frigate for the first time was incredible

the Gamecube is an incredibly underrated system, it developed something of a cult following since the initial lukewarm reception of it's heyday, and is full of shit titles but it has plenty of exclusives that were excellent

idk if you liked [I]Ocarina of Time[/I], but the transition from 2D to 3D with the Metroid series had a similar kind of wow factor. They perfectly captured the essence of those games whilst managing to create something which felt completely original and new, just one of the best adventure/exploration games i've played for that.
