brian.... do you have any idea what you just said? Dream Theatre have so much ****ing talent. I'm not a huge huge fan, but I think they have like 8 albums out or something. Out of all the music you listen too I can't believe you don't listen to them. They have some amazing songs, try downloading The Glass Prison or Stream of Consciousness.

A point about Dream Theater that is often made and is quite is valid is that despite their extreme musical talent, their songs are poorly constructed and usually just cosist of all the members trying to show each other up.

yeah I see what you're saying, but in my opinion, most of the songs revolve around J.P. It's not really Dream Theatre that I like, its more JP, I love his playing, same with LTE, that is another great band but with no singning. I think it started out as a Drum solo project for the drummer, but then he met J.P. and thats when they started LTE.

Funny story about DT actually. My mom wanted to get into metal and so I gave her a bunch of quality stuff (she liked Dragonforce and that was it so far :-\) and then I gave her DT and said "This band is balls, but I think you might like them." And she did. And she has like half their CDs now.
