It might not be everyones cup of tea, becuase they want tonal variation on stage, or stuff, put some people dont touch there bass' setting. If you dont like it, ok whatever, but just because its a "mark hoppus" bass, most people presume its crap becuase its his bass. If it said on it "jaco pastroius" (sp) or "victor wooton" then all of a sudden that bass will become the holy grail.

If people say they have played it, and they found the set up crap, then fine, but i played it and love the setup.

PS. I know hes a crap bassist but i dont care, he got me into bass' so ill respect him and stuff, just becuase i found out he wasnt god on bass like i first thuaght it dosnt mean that all of a sudden ill hate blink, or never dare say his name agian.[/QUOTE]

They are some off the most rubbish excusses ever. It is a poo bass, most people use tone while on stage so changing it at the amp is a no-no, Who give's a s[I]hit[/I] what colour it is, I bet if you had the choice you would have it in pink to add the extra wannabe element. I don't mean to be an arse but open your eye's and look outside of the whole Fender eliteist thing you have going. Alot of the time you are wrapped up in the little Blink 182 world and won't see out of it and realise that it's not cool.

craig, i don't particularly like blink, but fender jazz basses with p-bass pick ups at the neck and a jazz pickup at the bridge, that's the king of basses

Ok you seem to be forgeting, that the two basses i want most are the MM stingray, and the one chris wolstenholme uses, I dont use tone, if i want a deeper tone i just my fingers insted of a pick, i dont want a pink bass, i want a blue or a white one, Im not a fender elestist, yes there my fave make, but big deal, who care, i like other basses, im not wrapped up in a little blink world, ive not listen to them for a while now, there myfave band, WOW, i like Indie, Punk, Pop-punk, and a bit of R+M :rolleyes:

he doesnt have remotely interesting basslines, or a bass.

so? what does it matter, you cant put a complicated bassline to blink 182 because it wouldnt work - and has anyone whos criticising his skills as a bassist, actually heard him play anything apart from blink?

you're meant to. as far as i know, they don't except for in exceedingly religious communities. i personally was not checked.

however, if it becomes apparent afterwards that there are no pubic hairs on the boy/girl, we must assume they had pubic hairs for the ceremony but subsequently fell off
