anybody know anything about new Suis La Lune?
I know a while ago I think they said new LP in 2010 and it was in the process... but I haven't heard much about it since like spring I think. Hopefully it'll release or something before their Euro tour with PBTT, right?
i know they're doing a split with I Create at some point |
suis la lune are one of my favourites, same with daitro
|
their split with osceola was pretty good, and I think they said their track from it "Friends" was going on a future LP they were working on
|
Daitro are one of the few screamo bands I still listen to regularly. Incredible band.
|
i need to listen to more daitro
|
<3 their split with Ampere
|
gonna dl that right now, forgot about that shiiiit
|
oh god, it's the best shit ampere has done yet. seriously the song Escapism by Ampere is one of my favorite songs by any band.
|
does anyone else think the guitars in ampere sound kind of dull?
its not a srs complaint its just a little weird |
Y is awesome.
Yeah, when I listen to it I realize the dudes are better at writing songs now. although la substance et la matiere is incredible |
ampere's guitars are awesome i don't know what you're talking about kitsch.
|
maybe its just the files that i have, but when i listen to all our tomorrows end today the guitars sound overly "bright" as if the sound guy had stuck the mic directly in front of the cab speaker
|
well maybe, but i generally have a boner over will killingsworth's guitar tone in every band he's been in.
|
dont get me wrong, the record still rips
i dont dislike the sound, its just different than most other guitar sounds ive heard, especially within the genre |
Escapism by Ampere is one of my favorite songs by any band.
same. |
check out this band I just uploaded if you're into Funeral Diner and Welcome to the Plague Year. http://thatspunk.net/blog/2010/11/adoor-discography/. influential '00s emo from across the pond aka "Europe".
Ben, I think you might enjoy this quite a bit. "Reality Doesn't Happen Until You Analyze the Dots" and "God Is Spelled Dog Backwards" are both fucking ace. edit: oh and mappy you'll love this, I reckon. "Toetag Time in Teenville" sounds like a screamo Beyond the Fences. |
any of you douchebags listen to Deers! ?
