I was at the music store the otherday and I was struck with GAS for a Roland Electronic Drumkit.

<<<Is a drummer at heart.............explains my love for slap and pop

Left Shoe 10-15-2006 12:46 PM

if its a v drum then its justified

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:49 PM

Four hour drives can be fun?

It was the full V Drum kit version...................expensive tastes

It just really appeals for some reason.

The Brad 10-15-2006 12:52 PM

Because you can play drums at 3 am and not disturb a soul.

Moon Flavor 10-15-2006 12:54 PM
I am sure you know them already but a few tips for curry:

- Milk, have a nice big glass of it handy

- Coconut, they should serve this with the meal. Take a handful and eat it when you have just swallowed a rather spicy mouthful.
yeah milk helps. water only makes the problem worse.

All water does is spread the oils around your mouth more.

Why did MS Word become the industry standard?

ebe9 10-15-2006 01:10 PM
Why did MS Word become the industry standard?
Because Microsoft became the monopoly and they decided it would be fitting to have a monopoly on spreadsheet and text editing programs too.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:11 PM

It's so easily manipulated, all my settings are fubar as soon as I open a document rendered on someone else's machine. >:O
Four hour drives can be fun?
It always is on the way there, with all your friends and loud music and food and fun.

It's on the way back, when ythe majority have been drinking, you're all really tired and dehydrated and you still got 3 hours left, all the while the drivers concentration dips lower and lower.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:27 PM

That's when you get a motel or kick it up to 100mph and keep everyone awake on adrenaline.

Only 100mph?

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:30 PM

My baby can only push 110 before the governor kicks on.

Unlucky.

That is awfully low for a governer.

I know most european cars are goverend to 250kmph (156mph)

<<<has done 245kmph (153mph) on the highway..........that will wake you up.

video for my most recent solo bass tune. Yeah i told my old drummer i'd make a video for it becuase he wanted to see how i use harmonics, so i'll post it here too.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:39 PM

Well **** man, my car is really fighting at that point.
I love the speed, but it's just not meant for a car of my class. So I just let it slide, the last time I was speeding "home" was from that girl's house in S.F. just because she pissed me off and it was cathartic to speed.

I'd really have to work on the interior of my car, particularly sound deadening and window seals/sills before I could do trips longer than 2-3 hours at 90+
It fatigues the hell out of my ears, even with my last car Buick LeSabre (which I was probably doing more than 110 but never too sure) the wind noise was unbearable.

The Brad 10-15-2006 01:49 PM

For the hilarity,

The RPMs are usually lower when doing that speed, I am not sure why they were so high this time.

Worrpigs 10-15-2006 02:21 PM

what kind of car brad.

on a side note, Dream Theater-Train of thought is awesome. go and buy it. now.

mastrrbasser 10-15-2006 02:23 PM

no, i hate dream theater. and i'm not just knocking them, i downloaded their entire discography before i dismissed them as a band that i thouroughly don't like.
My baby can only push 110 before the governor kicks on.
my car will push about 130, ive only had it up to about 105-110, and at that speed im like shi.tting myself. one little bump and my car goes airborn.

Worrpigs 10-15-2006 02:24 PM

thats the first time ive ever heard of any musician not liking DT. at least you listened to them though, most people just go "oh em gee, lyke dey r seewwwww gay!" and then i ask them what songs theyve heard by them and they say non.

PietroCrespi 10-15-2006 02:25 PM

I don't like Dream Theater either, but I do get a laugh when I imagine what it must be like to be their drum tech. Talk about a busy job.

Are you serious?

Almost any serious non-guitarist musician hates DT.

mastrrbasser 10-15-2006 02:28 PM

don't get me wrong, they're great intrumentalists, just bad musicians IMO. they have no feel. it's like listning to an adding machine.
