Machine head's latest was okay. Day's turn blue to gray was good, there were a few other good songs. Overall its nothing great. [I]f[/I][I]uck[/I] chat filters!

I've heard some songs that were really kickass and others that were total garbage. Very inconsistent, but they've been making for so long I think they can do whatever the hell they want.

strapping young lad is a excellent newer band. Alien is a really good album. I've had thoughts of going to see them later this year. They are playing with soilwork and fear factory. fear factory is hit and miss. But soilwork and Strapping young lad are excellent.

They are not death metal, they are either melodic death or power metal.
Whether Alexi has long hair, if your more concerned over how he looks than the music, suit yourself.

notice the "" marks around death,that means i havent looked into COB enough to say exactly what genre they fit into,and i dont care how good a bands sound can be but if they look like girls then i dont want to listen to it,theres nothin cool about followin a band that look like girls,its dreadful

They're power metal. Alexi looks no more like a girl than any other metal band really, and that shouldn't even matter.

It just shows that some metalcore dumba[SIZE=2]ss[/SIZE]es do have decent taste. I guess it's a regional thing though. Around here, [I]no one[/I] likes CoB, least of all those "metalcore f[SIZE=2]a[/SIZE]gs".

Judge a band on,
Talent, guitar work, drumming, vocals, lyrics, etc. Originality, Overall sound of their music, alot more things but you get the point. Not who thinks who or what is cool.

Doesn't Trivium have intense screaming and whiney cleans? I've heard what people call emo before, The Used is one example, the vocals sound similar to Trivium's.
