All oi songs are long and drawn out because all of them are just the same two parts over and over.
Just like Madball songs...only they are constantly dealing with macho TUFFguyz.

Flagjacket 09-30-2006 09:49 PM

Yeah but at least Madball has breakdowns.

And hip hop intros

Liebensaft 09-30-2006 10:08 PM

I'm making monkey bread.

Rise Me Up 09-30-2006 10:19 PM

Monkey bread?

Liebensaft 09-30-2006 10:22 PM

You cut the dough from a roll of Pillsbury biscuits into 4 pieces, mix cinnamon and sugar and pour it on top. Then mix that all together. Melt butter with brown sugar on the stove, dump that on top, and cook it all in a bundt (cake with a hole in the center) pan for half an hour. Take it out, let it cool for a few minutes, flip it over. Voila.

Rise Me Up 09-30-2006 10:30 PM

ooh. that sounds good.

Liebensaft 09-30-2006 10:37 PM

Mmm done. Can't wait to eat some.

Rise Me Up 09-30-2006 11:00 PM

Take pictures and post them in the DIY thread.

TakeWarning 09-30-2006 11:17 PM

I'm making chocolate fudge brownies out of a box.

Rise Me Up 09-30-2006 11:20 PM
1997
You know it doesn't seem that long ago but when you think about it. That's 10 years ago.

Weird.

Jon 10-01-2006 12:57 PM

What's the difference between Folk-Punk and Anti-Folk?

Wikipedia does nae but confuse me.

SantaDuJuan 10-01-2006 12:58 PM

Isn't Anti-Folk just Folk music with political lyrics?
And Folk-Punk a mix of punk culture/music with Folk.

Jon 10-01-2006 12:59 PM

So say, Riotfolk would be more Anti-Folk?

SantaDuJuan 10-01-2006 01:01 PM

I'm pretty sure.
But I think Defiance Ohio is a perfect example of Folk Punk and Billy Bragg is a perfect example of Anti-Folk.

Flagjacket 10-01-2006 01:04 PM

What's the difference between the TCT and a questions thread?

Guys I might get a BAPE Hoodie!

Liebensaft 10-01-2006 01:33 PM

So expensive.

Danger Bird 10-01-2006 01:40 PM

God damn, Ghost Mice is next week and I have no ride. My brother was going to take me, but he has a gig in Tacoma. Maybe me and my friends could pool our money for a taxi, since there's no metro bus that late on the weekends.

Folk-Punk = Folk + Punk
Anti-Folk = Folk reaction to folk becoming watered down and meaningless and wanting to bring back political and social action to the genre.

World Burns To Death 10-01-2006 04:31 PM

genre hore
you don't know ANYONE with a car? what the ****..
Nobody willing to drive me down to Seattle, hang out there a few hours while I'm at the concert (None of the people I know with cars are into punk), and drive back.

Welcome to the internet, I'll be your guide.

Google.
Nick is so social and political action.
Yes I am. My typing has really been sucking lately.
I'm drinking a Diet Dr. Pepper.
im eating nothing :( making a burrito in a while though.

so my grad cruise is coming out on wednesday night. basically all the grade 12s gets on this big ferry type boat and we float around vancouver harbour for a few hours then everyone gets so drunk they go blind. the thing is semi-formal, so today i went out and bought a dress shirt and sport coat. i have a feeling its gonna be fun.

Anxious 10-01-2006 06:56 PM

Spaghettii soon....

AIRIC 10-01-2006 07:08 PM

I want to get drunk on a boat.

Liebensaft 10-01-2006 08:51 PM

That sounds dangerous.

Ghostfire3 10-01-2006 10:26 PM

Ha ha, it very well could be. Being drunk on a boat sounds like a one way ticket to puking all night long. It also seems like it could be fun.

sketchyjoe 10-02-2006 05:48 AM

The Underworld posted a Propagandhi date for the 9th of December but then took it down again.

Jon 10-02-2006 06:36 AM

Are you going to the Exploited, Vibrators or Anti-Nowhere League at the Underworld?
London Calling

Viv Ruggerio (from the Slackers) Special solo set

The King Blues

Moral Dilemma

Two Finger Salute

Plus a late set from A.P.B.

Saturday the 14th of October, at the 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street, WC2. 8pm - 3am, £6 on the door. Some DJs playing the best of punk, ska, rockabilly, mod (lol), psychobilly and (get ready Jon) glam.
I'll be there, if I can raise the funds.

Anybody go see the slackers and king blues on Saturday (apart from Jon, who's a lamecock for missing it)? It was seriously awesome. There's an Antifa benefit gig this Saturday in Hackney somewhere, some great bands playing, should rock. I'll be there for the beginning, selling patches with my mate.

King Blues and Ramraid The Offy played today, but Purple Turtle check IDs like whores check for STDs.

Jon 10-03-2006 02:34 AM

London Calling is awesome, I know the guy who runs it.

Goodtimes there.

edit: Hahaha you get ID'd at the Purps? Diddums... *pinches cheek and pats afro*

Excursions 10-03-2006 03:08 AM

Who goes to shows. I would prefer getting shrekered and shaking my ass at the clubs to Fergies London Bridge.

Jon 10-03-2006 03:12 AM

London Calling is a hybrid, its open late after the bands have finished and turns into a club.

Goodstuff
