Well it's a 3 and a half month summer, and I have nothing to do over it. That means taking classes for the first 6 weeks is great as it helps me get ahead a little bit, but there isn't anything useful offered for me.

so now I have a buttload of time to fill.

You just need to do that alongside, or just take the extra courses and start the full major next year.
