msn is so unreliable, yim is so much better but no one has it.

Actually, I have both, but partly because nobody uses, and partly because MSN is so much more userfriendly and just... good, I don't use YIM.

What should I get for an avatar. Paint is open, so I have a blank canvas...

Same. I had YIM for like a week, then decided i couldn't be bothered with it.

Well i might consider it if i had people that i talked to but i don't. Even the people i talk to off of mx are MSN users...

I have AIM, YIM, MSN, and used to have ICQ.

AIM is the winner; it's the fastest, has the most people, and second-best smileys.

MSN is the most advanced, but SLOW.

YIM sucks, but has voice-chat, and the others don't (atleast not with more than 2 people).
