What's more amazing is that they're coming to Australia. That's the only reason I (or anybody) could care about Anthrax nowadays. Joey Belladonna will always > John Bush.

VIO-LENCE Debut To Be Reissued In June - Mar. 31, 2005
Megaforce Records will reissue VIO-LENCE's classic debut album, "Eternal Nightmare", on CD on June 28, 2005.

Produced by John Cuniberti between February and April 1988 at Music Grinder and Alpha & Omega studios in Los Angeles and San Francisco, respectively, "Eternal Nightmare" sees brutal, speed-thrash riffage collide with a lightning-fast barrage of lyrics. The result: a sonic roller-coaster leaving listeners charged and craving more.

The epic 1988 debut, along with blistering live shows gained VIO-LENCE national tours with TESTAMENT and VOIVOD. One track, "Torture Tactics", was recorded during the sessions but deemed too lyrically controversial for inclusion on the album.

The original, out-of-print version on Mechanic Records is a tough find, especially on CD which fetches sums of up to $100 and occasionally more on eBay. Even scarcer are original Japanese and German versions on Mechanic.

VIO-LENCE's lineup on "Eternal Nightmare" included vocalist Sean Killian, bassist Deen Dell, drummer Perry Strickland, and guitarists Phil Demmel and Robb Flynn (both now in MACHINE HEAD).

Another Destruction fan born \m/>_<\m/

Hehe. Good to see you like that CD a lot. I need to get my hands on it somehow, maybe the first EP and LP as well. I found Eternal Devastation and Mad Butcher to have some odd type of guitar tone. It sounded like a thin buzz.

Well, at least to me :upset:

Anything for my fellow thrashers \m/

I know I don't do half the work many of the others do, but I do try to lend my opinion and stuff about what I feel about some of the bands that the others aren't too keen about.

It's always good to have a second opinion to look at.

O.O!

Oy, I was thinking of getting that off of iTunes, since it's easier to access for me. If I get my butt around to listening to some more samples and stuff, I shall download it and give you my opinion on it.

FatalEnergy 04-02-2005 02:11 AM

I also have heard "The Butcher Strikes Back" which is off that album, because there is a demo version on Metal discarge as a bonus track, and I must say it's awesome
