Epidemechanical 09-01-2009 06:33 AM

i wrote a blog about why im an anarchist at 3am

i love the things i do at 3am

Moon Flavor 09-01-2009 06:34 AM

Bill Engval and Jeff Dunham are two of the worst comedians out there

e: anarchy is so nightmare before christmas

Epidemechanical 09-01-2009 06:36 AM

no jcs, not really

im not an anarchist because its punk rawx im an anarchist because its the most romantic of all political ideologies and the only one that makes sense morally

good quote time

"Anarchy is and always has been a romance. It is clearly the best and only morally sensible way to run the world. Everybody should be the master of their own destiny - everybody should be their own leader. .000001% of the world's population cause 99.999999% of the world's problems - this tiny number being the world's leaders." Alan Moore, writer of V for Vendetta, and Watchmen.

Epidemechanical 09-01-2009 06:37 AM

anarchy isn't burning buildings and broken windows and riots in the street its a much more complex intrinsic and human philosophy

u kno bro

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 08:09 AM

I bought a pack of GHS Bass Boomers Flea signature, wow, just wow.

Bill Engvall > Jeff Dunham.

In fact, everybody > Jeff Dunham. There is not a comedian I hate more than Jeff Dunham.

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 09:49 AM

Jeff Dunham has a certain, limited appeal.

FunkMetalBass 09-01-2009 10:01 AM
Jeff Dunham has a certain, limited appeal.
Amongst redneck adults that still enjoy puppet shows? What demographic does he perform for, I wonder?

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 10:18 AM

I don't really like a lot of American comedians anyway, the one credit I'll give him is that he's at least entertaining and doesn't draw on the same tired bullshit observations a lot of comedians do.

No, you're right, he is pretty terrible.

FunkMetalBass 09-01-2009 10:37 AM

Jim Gaffigan and Daniel Tosh have to be my two favorite comedians right now. If you haven't heard of either, I strongly recommend that you check them out.

In other news, the more I listen to Coheed and Cambria, the more I notice how similar the bassist and I are in terms of approach, playing style, and use of off-key notes.

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 10:44 AM

I have not. I'm head over heels for flights of the conchords at the moment ^.^

And wishing Bill Hicks wasn't dead, as usual.

Nothing wrong with a bit of off-key notage.

I just ran into their stuff last night, it's great.

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 11:11 AM

The TV series is pretty hilarious. Their band manager is a classic character.

FoC are fantastic.

My guitarist has a custom paint job of Bill Hicks on his Les Paul. I'll see if I can dig up the picture.

Epidemechanical 09-01-2009 11:14 AM

flight of the concords was ****ing stupid to me i watched an episode or something cause everyone loves it so much and i was like "what the **** is this this isnt funny this is retarded"

and i turned it off to watch ted nugent hunt human beings

funkyhoney 09-01-2009 11:14 AM

I'm drinking an "ultra light" beer at the moment, I'm not really sure why. I saw it in the supermarket and thought 'oh wow, this is going to be ****'. Surprisingly, it's not that bad... better than some lights and mids I've had.

It's like 0.5%

Nonono. Watch their live stuff. I really enjoyed their HBO special during "Issues." The lead in is worth it. It's stupid humor, yes, but rather funny.

Lol. Ted cracks me up. He's more American than Chuck Norris.

Yar, basically. I usually only drink imported stuff, (Australian beer sucks balls bar a few exceptions) and even then I usually prefer boutique beers. This was actually bordering on enjoyable, it's crazy. Has the world flipped and alcohol is suddenly disgusting?

Anyway. sleep.

Mr. Pickle 09-01-2009 01:46 PM

Jeff Dunham has limited appeal? That's really retarded. He's turning out to be one of the largest active comedians working right now. Bill Engvall truly is ****. He's easily the worst of the Blue Collar guys, but that isn't saying much.

Probably because he's not blue collar.

TimJim 09-01-2009 01:47 PM

the whole crew is retarded tbh

:amaze: 09-01-2009 02:14 PM

louis ck ftw

FunkMetalBass 09-01-2009 02:41 PM
louis ck ftw
Yes. I love Louis. He hasn't done anything in a little while though since Dane Cook came to the scene and started ripping off his material.

I miss Mitch Hedberg too.

And I saw Bob Sagget's standup the other night, and I didn't think it was that funny at all. It was a cluster**** of incoherent thoughts that really all revolved around being completely anti-Danny Tanner.

:amaze: 09-01-2009 02:46 PM

**** dane cook. i hate that guy.

ever watch gerry dee? i saw one of his specials the other night and just about died laughing a few times.

FunkMetalBass 09-01-2009 03:18 PM

I've seen Gerry Dee on (if memory serves), The World Stands Up on Comedy Central. Funny, but like most comedians on that show, didn't floor me.

Spaceman Spiff 09-01-2009 03:38 PM

Patton Oswalt
Louis CK
Zach Galifianakis

Killer comedians.
