Are there any decent books to read up about hip hop history? I've looked in the past and remember being surprised at how little had been written on the subject. I'm basically looking to read [I]Our Band Could Be Your Life[/I], but about hip hop.

What are some good movies with prevalent hip hop soundtracks/themes? Watched La Haine last night and it made me want to see other films that feature hip hop.

A good one about DC Hip Hop just came out called Diamonds in the Rough.

New Jersey Drive is a great movie with an even greater soundtrack.
