I take it hardcore dancing and scenesters thinking they are ninjas ain't very welcome at CoB shows? I wouldn't think so.
CoB aren't the type of band to attract that crowd.

nah man... like the others said, people who mosh arent really THAT dangerous to the other people around :P What is most likely to happen is this.... As soon as COB is about to start playing, the 1000 people or so at the show will all push towards the front at once... which could be a bit overwhelming but fun :D

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 10-13-2005 09:06 AM

awesome i would still prolly get stepped on but it would be awesome lol

dest. Chaos 10-13-2005 09:18 AM

That happend with Dragonforce, when blackfire kicked in a sea of people flew forward it hurt like hell but was good fun.

I wish COB would do a UK show :upset:

No but trivium might cuz alot of idiots think they are metalcore.

IheartSP 10-13-2005 01:08 PM

Trivium is metalcore...

Thrash + Hardcore + Emo vocals = Metalcore

Toaster 10-13-2005 01:12 PM
Well there was a pit at the CoB show I went to, with people running into each other and such, and a bit of stage diving too

I did spot one hardcore ninja, who was promptly shut-down by everyone else.
Is a hardcore ninja a dude who just flails his arms around during heavy sections? I see tons of these guys and I just figure they're stoned or w/e.. is it some kind of joke?

They look unbelievably stupid.
Trivium is metalcore...

They're not metalcore.

Thrash + No Hardcore + Clean Vocals = Metal

Keep in mind that clean singing does not equal "emo vocals". And hardcore...I don't know how anyone could think they have hardcore in them.

Poofy 666 10-13-2005 02:52 PM

Any one have any info on their new cd? or maybe some mp3s? I've read some mixed reviews on it.

Leper Affinity 10-13-2005 02:54 PM

Most of us here have it. I fucking love it, but most have mixed opinions on it.

IheartSP 10-13-2005 03:02 PM

Darkthrone do you consider Atreyu metalcore or no? If you don't call them Metalcore then we just think of different things as metalcore. What some people call real metalcore I find dumb because they never called it that before this new stuff came out.

Leper Affinity 10-13-2005 03:05 PM

Atreyu I would say is. I've only heard one song, but it had really terrible singing and it went into a really overused and obvious breakdown.

I think we have different ideas as to what's metalcore anyway. I consider very few, if any, NWOAHM bands to be metalcore. The exceptions would be ones like Atreyu and maybe Killswitch Engage and bands like that.
Trivium is metalcore...

No, no, no.

Metalcore has barely any hardcore influence, and no emo influence at all.
Trivium is metalcore...

Emo vocals, please...

You clearly have no idea what metalcore is or what Trivium sound like.
They played at Bloodstock in Derbyshire in June, and I think they are back here soon but they are just playing one date at the Astoria (which sucks, I hate it when bands only play London).

IheartSP 10-13-2005 04:09 PM

I know exactly waht Trivium sound like, they sound a lot like Atreyu to me, who most refer to as Metalcore. Listen to the chorus of Pull Harder and tell me those aren't emo vocals.

Those aren't emo vocals. MCR is emo vocals, where the singer sounds like he's about to start crying.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 10-13-2005 04:24 PM

im not sure what everyones talking about but what does everyone think about machine head?

MRDuCran 10-13-2005 04:51 PM
im not sure what everyones talking about but what does everyone think about machine head?
People here are talking about whether Trivium are metalcore or not and do they have emo vocals.

And you'll probably get told to not talk about other bands apart from CoB in this thread.

Silenius 10-13-2005 04:53 PM

Trivium are absolutley not metalcore and they don't have emo vocals either.

GenuineImitation 10-13-2005 04:56 PM

I thought this was the CoB thread. Instead, I see MCR, Trivum and Machine Head.

Haha, OK my favourite CoB album is Hatebreeder and at the moment I'm loving Needled 24/7

Those 2 statements didn't go together but I think I know what you're trying to say
Those 2 statements didn't go together but I think I know what you're trying to say
They weren't meant to be linked, I was just saying my favourite album and a song I've been enjoying.

Thanks for clearing that up for everyone.
Trivium is im not sure what. I guess just metal. Sorta like shadows fall.

Toaster,

Yes, "hardcore ninja's" are exactly what you described. Check out coalition against hardcore dancing. its a really funny website. They aren't stoned, just plain dumb. What's funny is they bash people for "going to shows and just standing there". No d00d, people can't beleive how idiotic you look flailing you arms about, and can't help but stare.

I'm Charming 10-13-2005 05:47 PM
sorry please forgive :upset: *lowers head*
You a ninja?

*road house kicks self in head for even thinking of hxc dancing*

Leper Affinity 10-13-2005 06:11 PM

This has become more of a community thread for coB fans. We talk about all sorts of things, so feel free to join in and ignore any douchebag comments people try and give you.

I have mixed feelings on Machine Head.
