^Yeah its a good one.
Can anyone give me the link/name to the previous thread that showed someone tapping out a piece on a 9 string?/ |
go where?
|
The Danvers Insane Asylum...it's heavily guarded (it has been ever since it was shut down) because it's so haunted and so many kids try to get in. It's awesome dude. I'll try to find something online about it.

There ya go ep ;) Do those look like fanned frets to you? I dunno if there's something wrong with my eyes, but they look like it to me. :p |
Gav, that era of history I find really interesting. That's really cool. :)
|
^ No problem...I'm not a history guy, I just don't really like it; now science and math, now you're talking my language.
:thumb: -Gav |
Thanks man
Yes they are fanned :thumb: |
:p
I got lucky, I suppose. I inherited writing and history type stuff, as well as music, from my mother. Math and science are from my dad. :p I'm a huge fan of history-related RTSs. :p |
Oh okay e p...I thought maybe I was seeing things. o_O
|
Seeing Sparta tonight :smoke:.
|
^ Lucky bastard (gaslight).
FoxFire: Yeah, I'm good at writing and history (English is my worst subject and I finished last year with a 94 overall average, lol), I just don't like them. I kinda have trouble writing at times. The one thing I'm awful at: sports. Bleh, I'm not good at sports, except snowboarding. :thumb: -Gav |
Same here. Sports is definitely not my forte.
And I wanna play Lacrosse next year. |
I LOVE lacrosse...my friends play it; it's a brutal sport.
Come on, you get to whack people with sticks. My schools is like LACROSSEXCORE!!! We have like, the best lacrosse team/program in the state. :thumb: -Gav |
Haha.
I haven't learned to throw yet. o_O I have decent hand-eye coordination, though, I guess. That's what I get for playing video/PC games all the time. :p |
^ We played in gym once...it was so fun, but at my school, lacrosse is the main reason why so many kids go there; me and my friends were mixed with the jocks...all of them played lacrosse all day, all night, for their whole life. We all sucked; final scores were like, 63-2. It was great, though. "A learning experience"
I got one goal... :thumb: -Gav |
Night MX...work tomorrow, 730-2; might as well hit the hay early.

Night.
And so I spend the rest of the night looking at instructional bass books and videos. I think I'll pick up the Bill Dickens ones... |
I think i will pick up a theory book tommarow.
|
I don't know how to really approach learning theory.
I mean, I figure the first step is learning the notes on the fretboard. However, I don't know where to go from that. I know basic chord structure (read: BASIC), but besides that, I don't know much theory, and don't particularly know where to start. |
hmm fox.
|
I can read bass clef, and I know basic theory.
Beyond that, I'm unsure where to go. I think I'm going to go with learning all the notes on the fretboard (I figure it'd be best if I learned them on my 7), and finish learning chord structure. After I've learned all the notes on the fretboard, I'll try to cover scales. I'd rather not learn every mode of every scale; instead, I'd like to be able to know that, say, this scale has these notes in it. Say I'm going up and down the fretboard and need to play something in...D Pentatonic. I wouldn't have to go "The modes are here, here and here." Instead I'd go "these semitones are in this scale." On top of that, I want to study different styles. :p Sometime soon I want to pick up some Jazz, Blues, and Latin. |
Van Morrison rules.
