The Dub one. Did you say you were uploading another DSOTM bootleg? Ahh, just downloaded that :thumb: |

Pink Days is a DsotM bootleg. |
Gad you guys are liking the DSotM bootleg. It is a little inconvenient to have it is as one long song, but if you listen to any Floyd album like you're supposed to you listen tothe entire thing through. And anyway, it's pretty easy to guess where each song ends/begins, so you just have to fast-forward/rewind to get to it. Although I would like that other guys upload, whatever it is.

Cool bootlegs.
/bump |
I just realized how much I like Echoes. I would have sex with that song if it was physically possible.
*bored man posts meaningless posts* |
Wait, was Dub Side of the Moon uploaded?
|
Wait, was Dub Side of the Moon uploaded?
Yes, in Other Music. It's missing Us and Them and Brain Damage though. |
I guess I can upload my uber special bootleg for you guys....eventually(Sundayish)
I just realized how much I like Echoes. I would have sex with that song if it was physically possible.
*bored man posts meaningless posts*
Personally, I think Echoes is one of Floyd's more average "jam/epic long-*** songs" It's not bad, no, it's good. I just think stuff like SOYCD and Dogs are a little more... I don't know. Echoes just feels too, empty or something. It's a good song to just vibe to (or I'm sure to most Floyd listeners outside this thread, get high to), but others just seem to have more feel in them. I actually just bought Meddle today (I had already heard Echoes though) and I think my favorite song on there has to be One of These Days. It's just so hard-rocking, pretty unlike Floyd actually. The rest of the album is good too though. Both a Pillow of Winds and Fearless are pretty cool songs, San Tropez has kind of a cool tropical vibe to it, and I really don't see why people seem to hate Seamus so much. It just sounds like the band was having fun and just making a fun song (although there might have been more at work there *ahem* drugs) and Echoes does finish it off pretty nicely. Another ace Floyd effort. By the by, what is the crowd chanting in Fearless? It sounds like an audience at a soccer match or something, or at a concert. Did Floyd take live ambient sound form one of their earlier concerts and mix it in, or what? |
It is a soccer crowd. Echoes > life
|
I obsess over Meddle, it's such a great album.
|
I love Meddle. It was the first vinyl I ever got, and the only Floyd one I have. I love it.
|
Man, Echoes, their greatest hits compilation only has the first 18 minutes of Echoes. How fucked up is that? I mean, you name the freaking compilation after the song, but you only include part of it?

/slaps record company
Man, that totally sucks, I didnīt know that. Thatīs why I usually refuse to buy compilations, most of them suck a lot. |

I actually disagree, I love Echoes, although I think you right that Shine on Is Better. I'd say for Pink Floyd epics: 1.Shine On You Crazy Diamonds 2.Pigs (I'm not sure if you can count this, as its only 11 minutes) 3.Echoes 4.Atom Heart Mother 5.Dogs |

I have "Obscured by Clouds" and "The Wall" on viynl, thats it though. |

But my list would go like: 1-Echoes 2-Shine On You Crazy Diamond 3-Would "A Saucerful Of Secrets" count? if not then "Pigs" 4-Atom Heart Mother |

I love Echoes. That song owns me. The bootleg you're going to upload, what's on it? |
1. Shine on...
2. Dogs 3. Echoes |
I dont like any of the Animals songs. Altough I LOVE all other Pink Floyd songs.
Shine on is amazing and I recently started listening to Meddle. and I love it. Echoes.Great. |
Not to start a fight, but how can you not like Animals?
|
Not to start a fight, but how can you not like Animals?
I'm sorry, but maybe it's TOO experimental for me and that rarely happens. I will deffanatly give it a relisten just to check again. |
Yea, give it another try.
It's an excellent album, IMO. |
Yea, give it another try.
It's an excellent album, IMO.
Definitely give it another try. Amazing lyrics and excellent guitar-playing by Gilmour. Pigs is probably my favorite from Animals right now, but it, Dogs, and Sheep are all very close. It took me a couple listens to love it. Every Pink Floyd album requires a couple listens before you judge it. |
Animals is probably my favourite Floyd album and possibly one of my favourite overall albums too

Yeah, thats true. But it's very different to all the other PF material. My Favourite PF might sound cliche, but The Wall, is my all time favourite album. its even better than Tool and Opeth and Dream Theater. It owns. agree? |

The solos on Dogs get me everytime (the first one especially) |
