A Fall Farewell is pretty awesome dude.
|
I went to Greene Records earlier, and I must say I have not seen such a good selection:
Reach The Sky In My Eyes Carry On Count Me Out Good Clean Fun Song Of Zarathustra Lifetime ...you get the idea. |
"Geoff Rickley of Thursday, Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw/Head Automatica, Alex Saavedra of Eyeball Records, Eric Cooper of Kiss It Goodbye, and Chee of The Number Twelve Looks Like You are starting an untitled project together. The sound is said to be a mix of screaming and grind and Geoff, Daryl and Cooper are all singing and playing guitar."
anyone have more info on this? |

I saw the new BYD in K-mart.
|
I saw the new BYD in K-mart.
Sweet, did you buy it?
|
No, it was a few months ago. I'm going to Barnes and Nobles tomorrow because I have a gift certificate. I'm going to get 2-3 CDs with some of it. I need to think of popular hardcore/metalcore/metal bands though because that's all they have. Is the new BYD worth it? I might pick it up if they have it.
|
Yes, I listen to it like everyday. Generic, but suprisingly awesome. Check and see if they have new Terror, as well.
|
I've listened to the new Terror cd a lot, I just never bought it. I'll probably end up getting a Shadows Fall cd and I want to get a Martyr AD cd, I doubt they'll have it though. I'll have to see what label they're on.
|
They'll most likely have Terror.
They had a Martyr AD cd at HMV. I don't think I've ever heard them though. |
They're a basic metalcore band with a ton of breakdowns, I like them a lot though.
I've been listening to the new Full Blown Chaos nonstop lately, so good. |
I just listened to Martyr AD. They're alright I guess. Not something I would listen to.
Is it the cool thing to have a woman in your band now? And not particularly attractive ones either. EDIT: I'd put it in the girl from Bleeding Through's butt though. |

Wait until their new album comes out... it's really really good. They finished it a while ago but they haven't put it out yet because they've been label shopping. There's a lot of clean singing on it, but it's ok because the singing doesn't suck anymore, he got way better. They also redid "Seven Seas" and "Upon the Plains of Daybreak", and they sound much better too. |
Are you serious?? Oh dude I can't wait. I love "Upon the Plains At Daybreak". Thanks for the tip man. Yeah the singing on Upon the Plains sounded a bit...lame.
|

Yeah, he cleaned up in that department. There's this one song on there where it gets really quiet, softly strummed guitars, and has this really great singy part a la BTBAM's "Mordecai"... definitely one of the highlights from the album, and he handles it great. |

All pretty much look like dudes. |
Candace from Walls Of Jericho is ugly as hell.
http://www.purevolume.com/wallsofjericho/photos/329118 Yeah, I rest my case. |
The girl from Most Precious Blood aint too fine either.

She looks alright in that picture. I mean, if we were stranded on an island or something, maybe I might...

 Ewww. |
I would bang Candace from WoJ for sure.
|
I probably will. My buddies' cousin's band, A Fall Farewell, is playing and he makes me go to pretty much every one of their shows. Therefore, I will most likely be there.
Good deal. It should owncakes. |
Daaayum last night was awesome.
Make Move - Good show, liked how they threw some raps in there. Our Turn - AWESOME, got a t-shirt. Lights Out - AWESOME The Warriors - I've never really seen the big deal with the Warriors, but they put on an amazing show. 1000 times heavier live than on cd. For their last song they covered 'Bulls On Parade" and I almost pooped my pants. Iron Age - Never heard them before but they were really good. R'N'R - Pretty good, kinda boring. Righteous Jams - Set of the night, sooo much energy and stagediving. They opened with "Invasion" going into "Scream And Shout" and ended with "Invasion" going into "Scream And Shout". Mental - What more can I say? It's Mental, they were awesome. Stiggy's War - Didn't get to stay for them, but I heard they were good. |

I got Get An Oxygen Tank and Yo! today. Get Your Oxygen Tank has some really cool songs on it, and the ones I didn't like too much before, I am liking a lot more now. I already had the Yo! 7", but the Supertouch cover and the live set on the CD are really good. And the artwork on these cds is great. |

I had a good night last night too. The John Hancocks - Local punk band. Not really my kind of stuff, it was their first show though, and they didn't mess up or anything, so I'll give them that. Other local band I didn't know the name of - Totally blew. Really crappy clichemo. I waited outside for them to get over. Seven Left Standing - The only metalcore band in the town that they're from. And to my knowledge, the only good band from there. They drove 50 miles to play, and I drove 90 miles to see them for a second time. They did an awesome cover on Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste to end their set. The crowd wasn't really feeling it for them though. www.purevolume.com/sevenleftstanding If I Die - Christian metalcore from Fargo, North Dakota. Totally energetic, awesome set. They made good use of the very small playing space offered. After the set, they said they'd be playing somewhere in Minnesota with The Chariot New Year's eve. If I would have known this, I probably would have tried to go see that one instead of going to this one. www.purevolume.com/ifidie |
