I once saw a guy who looked like Dave Mustaine.

I am Dave Mustaine

All laughing aside, I was listening to some Finnish thrash bands that you all should give a listen to:

Jumulation
Mokoma
Malicious Death

They are listed in Metal-Archives, and their homepage links are found on their respective info pages.

BTW, I e-mailed Sauron's guitarist, and he might hook me up with some demos.

Kreator, Death Angel, and Vader are supposed to be touring soon... Anyone going?

I had a link to a Jumulation demo, but I lost it when all of my bookmarks got erased.
Hopefully I'll be going to the Kreator show in NYC. I already saw them with Vader two years ago and it was great. Shi.t though, it's on a weekday I think. :upset:

The bands : shall look into

The Enemy of God Tour - I'm telling my cousin about this one sometime in February, or whenever the tickets go on sale. It starts at 7:30 I think here in Hollywood, plus its not too far from his house (he lives really close to the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip).

I am not going to miss this tour...or I shall beat myself for an hour and half and wear a belt of nails before I goto bed each night if i don't make a move to go.

J/k

LordDargon 01-07-2005 07:10 AM

belt of nail = tr00

belt of ammo = tr00er

NP: Whiplash - Burning of Atlanta

EDIT: You can download Intruder albums at their site.

Kreator play in London next month but i'm not going to go, but I might go to see Megadeth's supposed last tour.

DisposableHeroes 01-07-2005 10:55 AM

CaptainWaits 01-07-2005 11:34 AM

Anything with Schmier as the vocalist.

Thhhraaasshhhh!!!!! \m/ \m/ Thanks for that link!

Anyone listen to Pagan War Machine? Jim Durkin of Dark Angel is in that band.

metal-militia 01-07-2005 07:45 PM
Thos 2 r pretty good......but I don't think any thing compares to their early releases
they ARE the early releases

Sentence of Death was the first EP and Mad Bucther was before Release from Agony.

TheCrown 01-07-2005 07:47 PM

I am a noob, how do you join clans? Also, would you consider The Crown thrash, they are Thrash/Death. If so, I think I will chose HIH.

First and foremost, you must have listened to Dark Angel's "Darkness Descends" album.

The Crown...I can't remember if I liked them or not...

RCA 01-07-2005 10:11 PM

Sorry for the double post...

I just got a couple of albums, demos, and assorted tracks (cd-r) in a trade, and they are currently available to d/l from me off of Soulseek. This stuff OWNS. HARD.

Name = Dragunov-metal

TheCrown 01-07-2005 10:20 PM

But seriously, what must I do to join?

CaptainWaits 01-07-2005 10:40 PM

Yeh but they're both Ep's, and I meant "releases".

sensitiveorgan00 01-07-2005 11:11 PM
That's a problem, why?
Well, I'm still in school. And it's hard for me to find a ride BACK from the show, unless I'm going with someone who can either give me a ride, or take the bus with me. It's not like a real major problem, but it's that my friends (who provide the ride) usually don't go to concerts on weekdays.
This means that I must learn the bus schedule for buses after 12am. Aye.

FatalEnergy 01-08-2005 12:09 AM

I've had Darkness Descends for like 2 years now, but I finally just now got Leave Scars, We Have Arrived, and Time Does Not Heal........which is really cool and stuff

FatalEnergy 01-08-2005 12:47 AM

I am going to commit metal blasphemy and say..........Time Does Not Heal > Darkness Descends

SLATANIC-666 01-08-2005 03:46 AM

^^ Can't comment about that because I only have Darkness Descends. I want all their albums but there either too expensive or just not available.

metal-militia 01-08-2005 05:59 AM

I prefer Darkness Descends becuase Doty's vocals are better than Rinehart's, but Leave Scars is still good.

Animosity, he asked for any Destruction and Sentence of Death is some of their best work.

ThrashMaster27 01-08-2005 06:55 AM

Shock Horror! I think Darkness Descends is highly overrated. Shoot me if you will, but it's my opinion.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2005 07:00 AM

i wish darkness descends would get a nice shiny remaster, so i can actualy pick out the riffs :D

Epicurus 01-08-2005 08:11 AM

Has Anyone mentioned Darkest hour?

RCA 01-08-2005 10:52 AM
I am going to commit metal blasphemy and say..........Time Does Not Heal > Darkness Descends
Not blasphemy, I feel DFA concentrated on their songwriting more on that album.
i wish darkness descends would get a nice shiny remaster, so i can actualy pick out the riffs
It was remastered. The production isn't that bad on the original either, nice and raw to complement the brutal skullfvck that is the music of that album.

CaptainWaits 01-08-2005 10:55 AM

^^Yeh I like Time Does Not Heal more

RavenousMetalist87 01-08-2005 10:59 AM

Enemy of God comes out in 3 days for the U.S.

Anyone going to look foward to it?
