The first time I heard it was on the Tony Hawk soundtrack as well. I thought Senses Fail did a great job with it, but naturally, the original was even better.

Yes. Join in, loser :p

Brian: Yeah. It's actually one of the few I was really impressed with. The rest were alright, but nothing stood out as great unfortunately. But I picked it up for $4 so no complaints :D

Mute Print 12-11-2005 12:22 AM

Fall Out Boy's cover of "Start Today" was amusing, as was Taking Back Sunday's song.

$4 would definitely be well worth it.

Excursions 12-11-2005 12:23 AM

Are we talking about Institutionalized? I heart Suicidal Tendencies, their self-titled is better than your face.

Haha, yeah...FOB's cover was easily the most Pop-Punk like rendition on there. Though I love Thrice, I wasn't a huge fan of their cover...but I think it's because I hate bad recording quality. Though I know you're not a fan, I thought Alk3's cover was quite good too.

Adam: Yeah. Great song. Only song I've heard by them though...want to give me the whole thing?

Mute Print 12-11-2005 12:26 AM

Alk3's cover was pretty good (considering it is Alk3 :p).

I actually though MCR did a pretty decent job too.

Thrice's was a bit disappointing.

Haha, yeah yeah. Gaby hasn't heard it and she went crazy when I told her I had it haha.

Yeah, actually MCR wouldn't be so bad if the guy never screamed. But alas :(

Excursions 12-11-2005 12:38 AM

I heard My Chemical Romance on tv for the first time. They are starting to get too popular for my liking. I think I might have to do something about it.

Vince: I would you know but slow connection bla bla, just download it off someone else on soulseek and it shall take a 1/4 the time. <3 u.

:-\

He posts here from time to time too.

Permanent Solution 12-11-2005 01:19 AM

Haha oh man, burn :(

Where was that, hxc?

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:20 AM

Of course. Where else?

And now Niko is flooding hardcore with lyric threads.

Permanent Solution 12-11-2005 01:22 AM

Psh, loser. Lets all shun him henceforth

Yeh...hxc is a lame forum :-\

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:23 AM

Some of the people in their are alright, but they're not my favorite forum to say the least. Which is too bad considering how much I love hardcore. :-\

Permanent Solution 12-11-2005 01:26 AM

Yeh...I like melodic hardcore and some new, some old...but the guys there are such cunts there's no motivation to go there, and half the bands they spooge over all sound the same so meh.

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:28 AM

I love melodic hardcore. I like a lot of new hardcore, and some old hardcore too. It just seems like most of the threads in there are used to whore bands, and there is never any real discussion.

Excursions 12-11-2005 01:30 AM

Yeah, they were talking about the hardcore forum being shit awile ago, people whom I've never seen here before.

Permanent Solution 12-11-2005 01:32 AM

Yeah...it's just circle jerking around some bands, and some guys trying to be the best elitist by naming a bunch of unknown bands who all sound exactly the same. Such is most of new hardcore sadly. I like the more unique bands. Like Mod Flanders Conspiracy. They're better than any band they discuss there, yet when I made a thread about them no one even read it so meh.

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:34 AM

If you used more than thirty words in your opening post, than it was way too long. It seems like every thread in there starts off with a ten word post, and if you're lucky, a myspace link.

Haha, I'd dig it up but we're not supposed to be looking at profiles so :-\

But yeah, you know how I make threads :)

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:40 AM

Someday I want to try one of those lyric threads in here, just to see what would happen. I gaurantee it would be closed immediately.

Not if you did it when Spence wasn't on <_<

But I dunno, I think they'd let it go for awhile and then delete it.

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:45 AM

Probably. I also don't think it would work as well with a pop-punk song as it does with hardcore songs.

Permanent Solution 12-11-2005 01:48 AM

http://www.lyricsondemand.com/b/blink182lyrics/dammitlyrics.html

Totally would.

On another note though, I'm leaving shortly...

Mute Print 12-11-2005 01:50 AM

Good call. "Dammit" would be the perfect song.

I should probably get going pretty quick as well.

Good night Vince.
