thats cool...I might have to go out and buy that one!

ashman 04-23-2005 08:22 AM

I was thinking, they might reissue Early Days in a few years to include the early days tour, that isn't selling out is it?

:edit: Leeds and Reading are going to be the only UK dates for at least a year.

the_cow_crap_man 04-23-2005 08:29 AM
killers is a wank album. they became good when Dickinson joined. n i am a huge fan,saw them on DoD tour ( :) ) ,got several cds, doin a cover of Fear of the Dark with band, but the guitarists are abit ****ty, especially to say there are 3 of them(which is unessarcery). tailgunner should be erased from history.
I hate you.

Me too.

AB/CD 04-23-2005 02:00 PM

me 3

(i learnt the clairvoyant on me bass was very easy)

Deth 04-23-2005 03:48 PM

Yeah, it's not a tough one.

Thunder Fingers 04-23-2005 03:55 PM

maiden dont have any particular hard songs, but its exelent playing, and exelent songs...

YDload 04-23-2005 03:57 PM
maiden dont have any particular hard songs, but its exelent playing, and exelent songs...
Oh I think they DO have some particularly hard songs. Just because YOU can play Phantom of the Opera and Rime of the Ancient Mariner doesn't mean they're not hard for anyone else!

NP: Iron Maiden. Now THERE'S an easy one.

Thunder Fingers 04-23-2005 04:00 PM

^ give them a shoot, they aint that very hard, i have never considered me self a good bassist, but yet i can play thoose.

I dont believe that a song have to be hard as hell to be good, so i dont realy care if a song is hard or not, as long as i enjoy playing them(and i enjoly playing Maiden songs)

vashts80 04-23-2005 07:11 PM

I have this boot from the BNW tour called "Brave New Chicago", Dave's first solo in Blood Brothers, before Janick's infamous "e15" solo, is slightly changed from the original. It's ace.

Deth 04-23-2005 07:14 PM

Sounds cool.

/subtle hint to upload it.

Nope, the Maiden website says they are.

Yer, I don't find any maiden song particularly hard. I see POTO and Rime as more of a good work out for my hand.

Either you lie, or you rule at whatever instrument you play.

NP: Empty Cans - The Streets

Josh 04-24-2005 01:24 PM

dave and adrian didn't make it through to the next round of guitarists :(

blue3 04-24-2005 01:46 PM

:( That sucks. I should've voted for them...

The first verse reminds me of something David Bowie would do...

...Bruce rocks like keelless boat.

The solo's are both cool.* Jannick's solo here always makes my blood freeze, it's the best one he's done, IMO. It's still so easy though...

What does e15 mean?

*Both this one and the original, I mean, for Dave.

Juicy_Forlorn 04-24-2005 02:14 PM

Hello fellow maiden fans! I have a question for you.
Are there any maiden songs that fade out? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Women in Uniform and that's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

the_uber_penguin 04-24-2005 02:33 PM

And that's a cover.

I'd guess there aren't, because fade outs are a bitch to do live.

ashman 04-24-2005 02:38 PM

Yeah true. There maybe another one somewhere...

Thunder Fingers 04-24-2005 02:47 PM

Transylvania kinda Flows into Strange World, but that is the closest,,, Maiden usually have constant stop songs...

Or they slowly dissolve into a free time flurry of cymbals, screaming, and a bass doodle from Steve. :D
Or they slowly dissolve into a free time flurry of cymbals, screaming, and a bass doodle from Steve. :D
it's true.
There are more of those than sudden stops.

Total Eclipse ends with a fading out of wind blowing.

Yeah, I wonder if they did that originally, or when they put it on the enhanced CD as a great segue into Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Lord Abortion 04-25-2005 07:40 AM

that blood brothers version is pretty cool- I need an mp3 player so I don't have to download it again at home

ashman 04-25-2005 08:40 AM
I meant his bendy solo at the 15th fret on the high E. :x
Thought that was on the B string? I've forgotten how to play it, it's been a long time since I played Blood Brothers

Lord Abortion 04-25-2005 08:43 AM

hooray- ash is here!

I have to go to work soon

Aye it's been a while, I had to do a format, because I couldn't get online.

Bizzarre tale of the day: I was walking to College University and I was listening to the Brave New World solo on my MP3 player and some fit girl was looking at me (she was going in the opposite direction) and when I listen to the solos, I study it so that I can one day play it. But whilst I was focusing on the solo, I tripped up and made a fool of myself infront a fit girl. :upset:

Thunder Fingers 04-25-2005 09:03 AM

^ you poor thing :p

I might Soon be able to play Blood Brothers Janick solo... :D
*Have Bought a Guitar, waiting to get it...*

ashman 04-25-2005 09:06 AM

 I can just imagine you bending the strings too far 'cos you've been playing the Bass for so long.
