Wow, you really are in Scotland.
|
yea, the fact that our common room floor is dominated by Irn-Bru cans emphasises that
|
Isn't that poisonous? :)
|
Probably is, but due to Scottish pride* I'll drink it till I die/it kills me.
*regularly confused with idiocy EDIT: Why the smiley face? |
yea, the fact that our common room floor is dominated by Irn-Bru cans emphasises that
im english, and live of irn-bru. I even got a keyring from our dinner lady women cause i bought so much at lunch. I buy bout 2 cans on weekdays, and upto 5 a day on weekends, but remeber too bursh you teeth 17 times after. Bought today: Pro-Pain : Fistfull Of Hate Agnostic Front : One Voice Metallica : Master Of Puppets theyre all **** good :thumb: |
Irn-Bru = teh secks!
And I'm only familiar with Master of puppets. What're the others like? |
New Avatar!
Pro-Pain is hardcore/metal, and its great stuff, some songs riffs sounding dangerously slipknot, but then going back to the usual stuff. Agnostic Front is hardcore, and some of the tracks have guest vox from the hatebreed singer! I have reviews up of both of the bands, and can send you mp3's over msn if you want... |
I heard them once, I couldn't bear them. I had to switch me tv and stick my head through a blender.
:p Seriously though, I can't stand them. I've been listening to Pantera all day....man...this band was so great. |
ok which band is this?
|
Bloody hell, someone else who knows of Grand Theft Audio. They're a part of my whole little Wildhearts-related group of bands I like - one of the members (Chris, I think his name is), is the brother of the Wildhearts bassist.
I've got the rest of the album (Blame Everyone) if you want some more of it.
I love you man! Because seriously, I can't find this album any where and have been wanting to hear more. |
ok which band is this?
Damageplan I'm guessing |
Damageplan I'm guessing
Pantera, Damageplan blows. You haven't heard of Pantera? Oy, what is the world coming too... |
Pantera, Damageplan blows.
You haven't heard of Pantera? Oy, what is the world coming too...
I love pantera. I was just guessing which band induced tv-head-smashage |
I love pantera. I was just guessing which band induced tv-head-smashage

Oh no, I was talking about Pro Pain.

Heh, I downloaded Vulgar Display of Power to see what all the fuss was about, but I haven't broken from my regular rotations long enough to load it up yet.
...and at the moment I'm caught up in the peppy mexican radio the guys painting my house are playing.
GET THE GREAT SOUTHERN TRENDKILL. Or cowboys from hell. Both are GREAT. The one you downloaded, oddly enough, isn't their best, I think, anyways. The Great Souther Trendkill (song itself) Is very heavy for its time, I would say. |
I felt bad enough for not having any Pantera albums, so I went out last night and bought Cowboys from Hell.
|
O har, okay.
|
ahh...Thanks for clearing that up
No problem. |
I felt bad enough for not having any Pantera albums, so I went out last night and bought Cowboys from Hell.
Did you ever notice (if you've listened to Pantera before) that CFH is like the black sheep of Panteras Albums? Its very power metalish. |
Vulgar Display has some great tracks. All the albums do but I think CFH is their all round best. Their earlier power metal stuff is great as well :p
|

I guess it is in a way. It's very "happy". Not very dark of an album. |

|
Pro-crap
|
Pro Pain
|

why does there music make you wanna stick your head in a blender |
I guess it is in a way. It's very "happy". Not very dark of an album.
Phil can do an awesome high power metal yelp, I love it |
lol ok then....
why does there music make you wanna stick your head in a blender
I just didn't like it  Don't you have bands that don't appeal to you for no reason whatesoever? |
has anyone got any pictures of them from their glam rock/power metal days?
|
i sure do, and i get what your saying lol.
for me its death bands like cryptopsy, their music is very technical and i admire their musicianship, but i see nothing past that. ill grow into it i belive. |
I just didn't like it

I don't like the whole death metal scene either. And for some reason I've never been able to like Maiden
|
Once it does grow on you it'll click oh so beautifully and you'll make an  face.
Like the one I'm making right now. NP ~ Iniquity - The Bullet's Breath \m/ |
lol good.
im going through my power metal stage, so i should reach death soon. |
Well, each to his own.
I highly respect Pantera, because they got me into Guitar, and the music i'm into now (death, thrash, etc). |
Once it does grow on you it'll click oh so beautifully and you'll make an  face.
Yes. It is VERY hard to get out of it. Once its in your blood, you're hooked. All you need is little dosages to get you going. Whats worse than death metal, is Power metal. Oh my god, power metal. Can that genre get to you, I tell you. Especially the vocals, you'll be imitating high yelping pitches before you know it. |
