The Craft is my favorite album so far this year. It's not the best Blackalicious album, but it's fairly rock solid. Gab is king. Easily the best rap album of the year (that I've heard.)
Also diggin' some Mingus, Ray Charles and Fog this afternoon. |
I got the new Coheed album today, So I'm digging that.
Oh, and Gospel, thanks to Electrocution. |

Finally listening to The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Take It From The Man! after fagging around for ages trying to find the codec to play the files from their site.
I'm up to the fourth song and it seems pretty good. |
Lo-Tel - Planet Of The Stereos.
Australian pop rocky synthesizery 80s sounding band. Dug up their album that I got given years ago. |

I've been saying for years now how I don't really care what lyrics say, just as long as they SOUND cool. Looks like Melvins are just the band I've been looking for all along; can't believe it took me this long to finally get around to them.
|
Today's really been a Joy Division day (Closer, Substance, Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979)
So... on a whim, I ordered the Heart and Soul box. It hurts my wallet. |

Pulp-Do You Remember The First Time

On "Night Goat", in one of the pre choruses it sounds like he says "you look like such a woolly mammoth". I'm not sure if that's the actual lyric, but if it is, it's definitely the coolest lyric ever.
|
Listened to Weezer - Pinkerton on the way to pick up my sister from my aunt's house at 8am. It woke me up.

General Patton Vs. The X-ecutioners
A mixture of crap and refreshing stuff. |
That pretty well sums up Mike Patton's career.
|
^^^
The good still outweighs the bad though... I've also been digging Dead Moon, which is pretty good band...I'm suprised NachoChez hasn't mentioned them yet. |
I've been digging Mercury Radio Theater - The Blue Eyed Model. Good stuff. I can't wait for their concert in about a month.

I had made a radio show for today, but the studio's malfunctioning. So now I'm listening to the show. My theme was melancholy.
