ThrashMaster27 03-29-2005 09:06 AM

Call me Andy will you. I hate being all "chat room" persona.

Much obliged as well.

RCA 03-29-2005 09:21 AM

Ok, Andy. :)

I'm Ryan, by the way.

ThrashMaster27 03-29-2005 09:33 AM

Good, I like to call people by their actual name.

RCA 03-29-2005 09:36 AM

Same here. Going by usernames gets old after a while I guess.

Well, I'm out. Later man.

SLATANIC-666 03-29-2005 11:35 AM

 And you can call me Ed :p

No, my real name's Mick. It's shorter than SLATANIC so be grateful ;)

NP: Kreator - The Pestilence

Griffin_Page 03-29-2005 11:41 AM

My name is easy to guess.... guessed yet? Griffin. I'm so unoriginal I used my first and middle names as a screen name.

RetiredAt21 03-29-2005 11:49 AM

My name is Justin. I really wish my name was Ihsahn, that'd be cool.

I'd often wondered about the origins of your screen name and now I know :)

NP: Flotsam and Jetsam - Iron Tears

FatalEnergy 03-29-2005 03:17 PM

Speaking of Voivod I have the War and Pain reissue and it comes with a live show from 1984, and they cover Slayer's Chemical Warfare, which I find it very strange that they would be covering a song that is brand new and by someone else, because that song also came out in '84

DisposableHeroes 03-29-2005 03:43 PM

They were/are big Slayer fans, is the DVD any good?

FatalEnergy 03-29-2005 04:10 PM

It's just a bonus cd, it also comes with all of thier demo's and Metal Massacre recordings

RCA 03-29-2005 04:22 PM

Here's that Vendetta song, Andy:

Traitors Fate - http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=05YCBNTBWY77Y17ZLQBSL5X2R6

Hosanna In Excelsis off of that album has one of the coolest riffsets EVER.

ForiegnPenguin 03-29-2005 08:13 PM

Indeed it does, I love the main riff of For Those Who Died.

sensitiveorgan00 03-29-2005 08:44 PM

I downloaded Sepultura - Schizophrenia, thanks to RCA.
What's everyones favorite SEPULTURA album?
To RCA: DISMEMBER FVCKING SLAYS. There's so much low end goodness. UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NP: Sepultura - To The Wall.

whatduffhuck7 03-29-2005 09:03 PM

destruction- nailed to the cross

one of the best thrash songs.

NP: destruction- dictators of cruelty

Cheers bud. Kinda reminded me of Razor. Pretty good song. There's the little soloish/riff that sounds like the beginning of WatchTower - Energetic Disassembly.

Fave Sepultura album eh? It's a tough one! between Schizophrenia and Beneath The Remains. They're both amazing.

NP: Venom - Countess Bathory

FatalEnergy 03-29-2005 09:57 PM

Beneath the Remains!!

Slaves of Pain = Best Sep song

Apocalyptic Raids 03-30-2005 02:29 AM

Fav Sepultura would be tie between BTR and Schizo

My name is Jonathan (just call me Jon)

Corporal Compendia 03-30-2005 10:15 AM

You know, all I have to say right now is...

Searching in the darkness, searching for the light
Looking to the darkness, putting up a fight
Iron chains surround you, you try to make a run
Someone near has found you, and now you see the sun
Bright lights, now you can see where you are
Far, out in the universe
Now, you, try to escape from this spot
Hot, ready or not
TAKE THIS TORCH!
TAKE THIS TORCH!
TAKE THIS TORCH!

I ****in' love! this song! The Sheepdog is the man. Nobody screamed like him back then.

I Heart Razor. *insert girly smily here*

Aside from that... Beneath the Remains is where it's at with the Sepultura... and Schizophrenia, and well Morbid Visions too.. and... well anyways, yeah, Beneath the Remains is the ticket.

metal-militia 03-30-2005 11:12 AM

Razor are great, but i can never find their CD's apart from Violent Restituion and Decibels.

Corporal Compendia 03-30-2005 12:48 PM

Well, finding some of the earlier Razor albums for me, is pretty easy, on account of the fact that I live around the same area as them... but a lot of their albums are completely out of print now. Very hard to find.

ForiegnPenguin 03-30-2005 02:13 PM

I love that scream in the beginning of the Marshall Arts.
Np: Helloween-Keeper of the Seven Keys

FatalEnergy 03-30-2005 02:19 PM

I think Dave Mustaine must be on drugs, because they had a contest where you send your metal demos in, and this like Scremo band got 1st place, while a Speed metal band and a thrash band got to be runners up

Corporal Compendia 03-30-2005 02:20 PM

Me too! Like I said, the Sheepdog ruled!

I want to know what Razor is doing now! They had all these plans to release a new CD and a DVD of a show they recorded last year(A show I was at!!!), but I've not heard anything since.

ForiegnPenguin 03-30-2005 02:23 PM

I didn't know they were coming out with another cd. Seeing you know so much about Razor, how do their other singers compare to Stace and what would be a good Razor album other than VR.

DisposableHeroes 03-30-2005 02:36 PM
Which one.
All of them :p *doesnt know how many there are*

On a different subject, has anyone else noticed John Connelly sounds like really pissed off chipmunk on Handle With Care?

Anyone willing to send me some Razor albums via messenger or SlSk?

Please? I'll be you're best friend...

jk. Seriously, can anyone help me out here too?

They've only had one other singer... His name is Bob Reid. He's pretty good too! Not as good as the Sheepdog, but still good... a more rough voice. A great album with him is Shotgun Justice... another great one with Sheepdog is Executioner's Song... Their most well known would be Evil Invaders. The title track to that one was probably the first thrash video.

RavenousMetalist87 03-30-2005 05:00 PM
yes, my slsk is PersecutionMania
0y, ty very much :thumb:

SepticSchizo87 on this end x.x

Don't ask me why I picked that. I was bored and well, I like that song. Oh, plus I was born the same year Schizophrenia, R.I.P., Scream Bloody Gore, Persecution Mania, The Legacy, Among The Living, and countless other thrash debuts that made their way out at that time.

w00t for me

SKIN HER ALIIIIIVE!

Razor is my other favorite thrash band next to Overkill, my favorite album by them is probably Open Hostility. I've got 6 of their albums, so PM me on Soulseek if you want to d/l some of them.

a8o 03-31-2005 07:13 AM

My soulseek is a8o if anyone wants to see what I've got. It's pretty much the standard fare.

a8o 03-31-2005 07:13 AM

I'm specifically looking for Horde of Torment - Product of a Sick Mind at the moment. Can anybody help me? The only source on soulseek for it has a thousand long queue :P
