I have a feeling trivium will be either reallly really good or completly horrid. I'm not sure how their style will fair playing live. Being that live music doesn't have the studio album sound depth. I think I'm gonna dl a couple a songs from amon armath so give myself a heads up.
I've heard mixed opinions on Trivium's live show. Many say it's very energetic, but I dislike it when bands try and tell the crowd to get violent, which is what they do. |
I haven't really heard any Amon Armath (yes, kill me now I know) but CoB and Trivium are going to be really awesome to see live.
dc++?
preferabely dc++ but as it has an open code it can be modded in any way you want to so there are many versions of dc. |
I saw Trivium at Download and I must say they put on quite a good show even though I didn't know who they were, nor do I really like them now. They seriously had about 6 pits going at once during Pull The Strings..., pretty impressive I guess.
|
I want to go see Cob but I need to know at what time they will finish...aproximatly if the show begin at 8 PM it will finish at...
Thanks for your help. |
The CoB show I'm going to starts very early compared to most. Doors open at 6 compared to the usual 7 or 8.
|
ughh.... shows end round 12ish maybe 1am depends. If the doors open at say 7pm. music will prolly start at 8 or lil after. then ends 12ish or 1ish. depends on where and the show.

Darkthrone:
They(trivium) literally tell people to get violent? haha. high energy is important but I don't think theres any point in just being violent for fuKcsake. |
That's what I've been told, but I've never seen them before so I have no idea if it's true or not.

Thanks for your help.
I freakin wish I could go see them. :upset: |
I've never seen any of the bands, (CoB, Trivium, Amon Amarth).
Does CoB have really high energy shows? tell people to get violent? Or people just go with the energy in the music because its already there and not need some idiot to incite a riot...? |
I've heard that CoB shows are really insane no matter what.
I'm assuming it's in a metal type of way though, so more headbanging and less moshing. |
I know I would be insane at a CoB show.
|
I always headbang as hard as possible at shows I like, so my neck is going to be immobile for the entire week afterward. :)
|
I've never gotten the concept of moshing. This will be my first "big" concert. I been to underground hardcore and metal shows.the scenesters would dance like idiots. Moshing is the big pit in the front towards the middle where people smash into each other?
|
I always headbang as hard as possible at shows I like, so my neck is going to be immobile for the entire week afterward.
I'm pretty much the same way when I go to shows and when I play shows...the pain's a bitch but worth it! |
ha ha yeah i think im gonna go in a comma half-way through COBs setlist
|
I always headbang as hard as possible at shows I like, so my neck is going to be immobile for the entire week afterward. :)
Yeah, thats exactly the way to go! :thumb: |
I'm pretty much the same way when I go to shows and when I play shows...the pain's a bitch but worth it!
Yes it is. I hope it's insane like when I went to see Shadows Fall the first time. Brian called out me and my friends because we were right up against the barrier headbanging. During the very first song of their set (Destroyer of Senses) some guy broke his leg! I like insanity at shows but violence is a bit much. |
Your necks fine during the show because your in the music, but when its over, your neck feels like its been broken in half.
|
Headbanging and whatever else is great but theres no need for people breaking legs. It's a concert not a street fight.
|
I like insanity at shows but violence is a bit much.
I agree completely. I hate guys who are like, yeah, I made some emo kid last night eat the sh*t off my shoe. Not defending emo kids, but everyone pays good money to see a show, no one pays to get their *** kicked. |
yep, moshing is pretty stupid... and hardcore dancing, well, the people who partake in this shouldnt be considered as people in my opinion. yep, thats right ya losers.
but yeah, cob show should be intense. Oh, and it shows alot about a band when they (ex from above: Trivium) ask the crowd to mosh or get violent. |
I'm 6'3 200ish so I don't have to worry about being "forced to eat **** off some guys shoe". To me when bands incite violence it reflects a lack of talent, if the music is really good people feel it. They will get hella fired up from it. They won't need some idiot to tell em to break each others limbs off.
|
I know what hardcore dancing is but what exactly is moshing? I've never gotten the concept besides smashing into each other?
|

I have no problem with moshing, if your getting really into heavy music and you need to hit some stuff, a mosh pit is a good way to do it without hurting some random bystander or something.
Plus, come on guys, it's pretty fun. You gotta try it atleast once. Hardcore dancing however, I just don't get. They look pretty stupid, and moshing is very superior. |
True. Although I don't think Hardcore dancing is very likely at CoB. I mean, if it were Shadows Fall or something like that I would expect it.
|

I watched a video of trivium playing "pull harder" live. I think it was in london if that makes any difference. They kinda did try and get the crowd going. It didn't seem like "violence" or anyone going to get hurt though.
