the_pure_drummer 02-22-2008 10:44 AM

Dressed up us a gorrila today and play drums in a welsh concert. I played the phil collins **** that everyone wanted to hear then jammed hardcore with my bassist who was dressed up as a bannana. We bribed the judges with a bannana each and i got to throw some into the crowd :)

We won :D

Video to come soon. Gotta get my bassist to send it to me.

mac is Unix that also runs windows, with a wonderful GUI and a low learning curve for most functions. Plus, mac runs Logic, Final Cut Pro, and any other artistic program worth its weight :)

Pretty cool. Reminds me of the last original band that I did some of the writing for. Production value of recording sucks but it is good enough to hear that the writing is good, and the players are accomplished.

Win A Rabbit 02-22-2008 01:09 PM

seeing minus the bear in march.

i'm paying for a friend to go, because none of my friends are too into them and i need a ride out there, so i bought his ticket for him.

the_pure_drummer 02-22-2008 01:10 PM

Cool man.

Win A Rabbit 02-22-2008 01:36 PM

lawl i just sent an email out to a singer asking if she wants to play at our concert.

she's awesome by herself, but i'm not a huge fan of her band, so i kind of stressed the acoustic side of it.

it sucks that all these awesome bands that i know are coming to play at it, but i'll be running around like crazy all day and won't be able to fully enjoy it.

Mr Pink 02-22-2008 01:53 PM

Just not a good mix....no mastering I would guess....not a knock at all dude....I like the material but that recording is not broadcast quality...I know you never said it was, but it is rough sounding.
go to www.myspace/blaqlily and listen to the song Lullibies and compare the sound to your recording. That is the difference I was talking about.
NTSC rules
I guess I should re-phrase the statement.

Whilst working in North America, on a project cut at 23.98, I dislike conversions to PAL.

I would actually prefer to work with PAL exclusivly, 25 is such a nice number. 29.97, and all it's pull down glory, not so much.

the_pure_drummer 02-22-2008 02:51 PM

I loved it in the shops and it's like £200+ and i have the money but im kinda saving for a 9000 hat stand but this is a great deal and i don't want to miss it.
