Its fairly nice imo. B-105 or something. Going to give it some new strings and a setup in the morning after some fret board oil and polish and stuff.

HELLonWHEELS 10-15-2006 02:09 AM

Look nices. You should give it its own thread

Yashnaheen 10-15-2006 02:14 AM

I think I will after I get it all polished up tomorrow. Ready for a photoshoot and such.

Right now Im having far too much fun with the B string

HELLonWHEELS 10-15-2006 02:37 AM

What strings are you going to put on?

Yashnaheen 10-15-2006 02:53 AM

Ernie Ball 45 - 130s for now. I know 0 about bass strings, and just went with what I know.

Yashnaheen 10-15-2006 03:02 AM

Care to tell the story? I enjoy stories.
Yeah, I don't get it either. It's only a hundred bucks that they're taking.

I worked for some crazy old lady doing landscaping work (aka weeding, cutting down trees, bull**** like that). Anyways, she ended up owing me $560 and decided not to pay me for three months after I'd finished, and I'd already bought a bunch of **** before when I'd thought I'd get paid in a timely manner so it was pretty lame.
Even though you are probably not in here anymore, that definitely sucks about not being paid. Landscaping is the easiest way to make money, though, and it is something that I am good at, so I never hesitate to take a job if it pays well. :)

nice pick. those tiny ones are the only ones i use. except i use the bright red ones so they're easier to keep track of, especially live.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-15-2006 03:19 AM

Burn bassists using plectrums, burn!

Aerodyne 10-15-2006 03:20 AM

Oh, nothing exciting, it was on here. I was rambling about the FSM book and sounded like a nut, that's all.

Yashnaheen 10-15-2006 03:21 AM

<--- strict figerstyle on bass. That pick is for shreddin up my Jackson.

Yeah, I love Jazz IIIs. I prefer the black, they are a totally different material and they grip better for me. The reds aren't bad tho.

Aerodyne - oic. ITs all good then :chug:

Pluperfect_Arson 10-15-2006 03:23 AM

I was only kidding. :upset:

Yashnaheen 10-15-2006 03:24 AM

I prefer the tone from my fingers on Bass, and my Plec on guitar.

funkyhoney 10-15-2006 03:34 AM

Pluperfect_Arson 10-15-2006 03:48 AM

I prefer the tone from my fingers as well.

I hate the tone of a plectrum on bass strings. Kills me ears/

Rollo47 10-15-2006 04:26 AM

The tone of plectrum on bass has its uses.

Anyway, my band played at a party last night, and we recorded it, so if all goes to plan, I'll have some recordings for you guys to listen to soon.

funkyhoney 10-15-2006 04:40 AM

thats sweet riley, jazz is it?

im trying to decide wheter to get a new fretless or normal 4 string

Rollo47 10-15-2006 04:43 AM

Electric blues. Think Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix.

funkyhoney 10-15-2006 04:51 AM

sweet, i wish i had a band :(

Rollo47 10-15-2006 04:56 AM

Yeah. It took me a long time to find decent musicians who are dedicated enough to play with.

funkyhoney 10-15-2006 05:00 AM

sounds like my problem :(

oh well, im sure the opportunity will come

Criss Frantic 10-15-2006 05:03 AM

I love my band.

funkyhoney 10-15-2006 05:07 AM

Akira 10-15-2006 08:14 AM

The latest Bass Player has a great article by Billy Talent's bassist on why it is bad to be totally anti-picking.

Polyamarous 10-15-2006 08:18 AM

Mmmm I love a good pick-tone.
