I've just been sat in the pub with people i don't know (friends of a friend) drinking Coors Light Beer since it's £1 a bottle and there's no Fosters. Oh the joys of awkward situations.

Methinks some chips are in order.

Well, I hated them when I saw them at Reading, but I judged on the 4 songs I saw before storming off disgusted.

Everyone else I know who's seen them loved them. So maybe I'm just bitter and alienated. Or, I just despise any band who jumped aboard the bash-Bush bandwagon in the desperate hope of increased sales and profile.

Assuming you mean Green Day, I disliked them when I saw them live at some festival, too. Not least of all because they were scheduled to play 2 hours, and walked off after 1 1/2. 20 minutes of which was that bloody Hitchin' a Ride-bring-kids-out-of-the-audience thing.

At Reading, it was exactly the opposite. The were meant to have 90 minutes, they got 2 hours. And yes, they did the 'we're down with the kids, honest!' routine.

They also covered *deep breath*.....
