My family got back from holiday today. I got presents of a "Versage" belt and some playing cards with Anient Greek porn on them.

Liebensaft 08-20-2006 06:17 PM

Do you mean a "Versace" belt?

sketchyjoe 08-20-2006 06:50 PM

Not according to the label.

Jessizzle 08-20-2006 07:58 PM

CONOR!
I wish i wasnt grounded too.
Ah. The poor punks will find a way in for free.
Do you know Alan? the tall punk that lives on queen? can be seen with chris.. Tall... dirty and tan. ANYWAYS he got into the aquabats for free.. so im sure rancid will be no problem for people.

I guess it's a knockoff Versace? I've never heard of Versage. And Versace is a big famous company.
Well done, Mr Slow.
Haha.

Goddamnit, A Wilhelm Scream aren't playing and all ages gig when they come here.

:(

Drop The Baby 08-21-2006 07:20 AM

I didn't think AWS were that good when i saw them. Albert told me off for thinking that

TakeWarning 08-21-2006 09:04 AM

I hear they're kind of sloppy live.

But they're still one of my favourite bands and I don't get to too many shows.

Liebensaft 08-21-2006 01:28 PM

I'm back after a hiatus due to something called "Guild Wars."

So what's been happening with everyone?
I went to the VGS/Big D show last Tuesday, hardly anyone was there.
And it's my birthday today.

POINTLESS5448 08-21-2006 03:13 PM

oh well happy birthday to you.
i went to that same show and there were alot of people there but the venue was small so it was still rather crowded. nothing like when the aquabats played though. did the suburban legends play that show?

Glitterati 08-21-2006 04:54 PM

It's also Joe Strummer's birthday today.

sketchyjoe 08-21-2006 04:56 PM

He died. Didn't you get the memo?

Anxious 08-21-2006 04:59 PM

he threw it under his bed with the other memos

Lazybassplr56 08-21-2006 06:49 PM
It's also Joe Strummer's birthday today.
I went to that show as well. Westbound Train was by far the best. Suburban Legends were awful.

POINTLESS5448 08-22-2006 08:28 PM

i got there as westbound train were finishing so i wasnt really paying attention. i thought suburban legends dances were hysterical.

Okay, the Jack Gault Acoustic Power Violence Apocalypse's first EP is finished.

And ready to be listened to.

Liebensaft 08-22-2006 10:48 PM

Acoustic Power Violence sounds like a real up-and-coming genre.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 08-22-2006 10:49 PM

Yeah. It's me.

I rule. And I'm up-and-cumming.

Because the germans like to march in the shade.

ibanezman575 08-23-2006 08:04 AM

TakeWarning 08-23-2006 08:35 AM

Hahaha.

I'd hate to be French right about now.

sketchyjoe 08-23-2006 08:44 AM

I'd hate to be French right about any time.

Jessizzle 08-23-2006 10:15 AM

Je deteste le francias!

French is really easy.. till you get into highschool.

Henrik 08-23-2006 10:27 AM

I saw Gogol Bordello, for the second time in two months, last night... They are without doubt the best live band I've ever seen or heard.

sketchyjoe 08-23-2006 11:15 AM

I wish I'd seen them in a better venue. They were great but would've been better had I seen them play in my home town (in a club with 400 capacity) rather than in London (at a 1500 capacity show.)

Glitterati 08-23-2006 11:43 AM
Hahaha.

France has beautiful women.

Gogol Bordello would be a sick show. Definitely one I want to see someday.

asdf 08-23-2006 01:28 PM

One of my friends told me today I need to make her a gogol bordello shirt for her birthday.

I was all "wtf requesting birthday presents when I barely ever see you anymore."

I would looooove to see gogol bordello.I missed them when they came here because I didn't know them, and they were opening for Flogging Molly, who I don't care about.

Liebensaft 08-23-2006 01:50 PM

I've yet to see Gogol Bordello live. Unfortunately.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 08-23-2006 01:51 PM

Gogol were amazing when I saw them. Totally sweet.
