Pssh, don't show off with your filter dodging morpcat. I'm content with my blatant not caring and just putting fuck. ;) Wish I had a wah pedal, and a footswitch...

morpcat 03-25-2005 06:20 AM

But it's so much easier to read :upset:

fatbandit 03-25-2005 06:22 AM

Ah, but my bold letter emphasises the fact I'm swearing, therefore adding impact to my post ;)

morpcat 03-25-2005 06:26 AM

Shit I know what you mean...

gaslight 03-25-2005 06:26 AM

I don't like postcounts, they highlight my lack of a life outside the forum.

morpcat 03-25-2005 06:28 AM

:amaze: When will yours end?

fatbandit 03-25-2005 06:28 AM

Also, morp, while you're here! I have an Ibanez BTB405, and I was thinking about changing the pickups. I was either going to go for two Bartolinis, or possibly a Bart in the neck position, and an EMG in the bridge. Any idea how they'd sound in that configuration? I know they're very different, which is why I thought I'd look into it for versatility.

morpcat 03-25-2005 06:34 AM

The Bartolini in the neck position will definitely give a very nice warm tone, but the EMG at the bridge can get very very burpy, in a bad sounding way. I'd look at getting a pickup other than EMG, and I can tell you that dual-Bart BTB's sound mega-sweet.

My friends BTB405 came with Barts anyway, so haha!

fatbandit 03-25-2005 06:40 AM

Yeh, I don't have a boutique version though, just the standard! I thought about dual barts, but that's the safe bet, and where's the fun in that? :p

Is there another pickup you could recommend to get a sufficiently different sound from the Bart to put in the bridge position?

gaslight 03-25-2005 06:50 AM

I was looking at the Prestige Ibanez SR1000's on the site yesterday. So sexy, especially the dark walnut one. I don't like the milky stripe that the neck-through leaves, or I usually don't, but I can't decide. But the walnut, so hot. I'll get a pic.

morpcat 03-25-2005 06:51 AM

In a 5-string soapbar shape... Umm... Not that many.

fatbandit 03-25-2005 06:53 AM

Hmm. Does not that many mean none bar the Bart and EMG? :lol:

Thunder Fingers 03-25-2005 08:00 AM

aint we movin fast today...

fatbandit 03-25-2005 08:05 AM

No, and I need pickup suggestions...

Now, to prioritise, whast order to buy in?

Pickups?
Footswitch for amp?
Wah Pedal?
Wireless Unit?

Thunder Fingers 03-25-2005 08:09 AM

well.. what do you realy NEED?

fatbandit 03-25-2005 08:11 AM

Technically, none of them. I *need* a bass and amp, of which I have both. The rest are just added extras to pimp my rig a bit...

gaslight 03-25-2005 08:12 AM

Music stuff I want in the next 10 years, in no particular order unless specified.

* Ibanez SRX400 (First).
* Ibanez SR1000EWN Prestige
* Ibanez AEL40S Electric Acoustic
* Ibanez AX120 Electric Guitar
* Mesa Boogie Stack with BB750 Head, 4x10, and 2x15.
* Tama Beginner Drum Kit + Lessons (this one is last)
* A fretless bass (if only Ibanez made them).
* An acoustic bass.

AfroMan 03-25-2005 08:13 AM

Hey everyone :wave:

I've got a new job which means a new bass next month hopefully.

gaslight 03-25-2005 12:08 PM

It's a Marcus Miller paw, it will grant you three wishes, but beware, for it carries a terrible curse...

Left Shoe 03-25-2005 12:09 PM

Foxfire 03-25-2005 12:33 PM

I'm bored.

Kayetan 03-25-2005 12:35 PM

I'm pissed. All of my songs just got deleted off of my recorder and the memery card is now useless. I hate it.

Foxfire 03-25-2005 12:37 PM

That sucks.

gaslight 03-25-2005 12:38 PM

That sucks man.

:(

Kayetan 03-25-2005 12:43 PM

Ya, a compact flash memery card is gonna cost at least $70. I had some great songs on there too. Songs that I can't rerecord because they were improvised.

Foxfire 03-25-2005 12:44 PM

That really sucks man.

That's why I tend to just record onto my computer.

Except you also have to take into consideration that I pretty much never record on my computer.

Kayetan 03-25-2005 12:50 PM

Well, if I would have recorded in my computer, I would have lost a ton of my other songs when my computer got reformated. Plus, I spend a ton of time recording and I wouldn't be able to spend that much time recording on my computer, what with other people in my family needing to use it.
