i havent really listened to them in a while to be honest, but when i did i remember the hardcore influence being kind of prominent. i might be wrong though.
|
To be honest, I haven't listened to Clients in forever either. It's not a good album.
|
I like it a lot.
And the song Lay The Tarp has a very noticeable tuffguy sound. |
Guy is kind of a tough-guy, at least at first glance. He does have the "hardcore" stage presence, just in how he struts around and holds his mic. Then again, he's smiling the whole time, so that's not very broish
|
guy's awesome though, so it's okay. plus when i saw them on tour with tteotd his vocals were actually good for once.
antman has a good hardcore part at the end btw. just dissecting it to point things out in boredom i guess. |
I don't care too much for Death tbqh, especially not older Death (vocals annoy me there).
DURRRR DERRRPPRRRR URRRRRRR HEEEEE DURRRRRRRR OOOOO UHHHHH DERRRR |
Anyone who doesn't like death probably doesn't like metal :o
|
Or at least shouldn't.
|
i'm not too into death's early material because of the vocals too, actually.
omg scenefag. |
They bore the fuck out of me.
|
Austin, why do you disappoint me so? :(
|
Idk, I just couldn't ever get into them. I've only heard SBG, so maybe I'm missing something.
|
Chuck's vocals in Leprosy are really awsome.
Austin, listen to Leprosy. |
Chuck's vocals in Leprosy are really awsome.

Umm ad least listen to Leprosy, its like SBG but 10 times better. Also try their Tech stuff if your feeling up to finding some actually good tech death, Human is where it's at.

Anyone who digs up a post of mine from weeks ago for the lone purpose of starting shit is a dipshit. That being said, I stand by my statement. Early Death's vocals annoy me, later Death bores me. To comment on recent discussion, I really don't like the Doom EP, but I am a big fan of Genesis. All Shall Perish is very good IMO, and what I've heard of The Red Chord is awesome. Although Mappy would disagree, I am also a big fan of As Blood Runs Black, minus thier occassional gay moments. |
We are talking about Death now, Josh felt like calling you out, get over it.
|
Leprosy is my 2nd favorite Death release. I'd say it's my first favorite lyric-wise though.
|
Death really blows. SBG was okay for a while when I first heard it. Then Leprosy only has one good song which is Pull the Plug. I'm not going to even bother checking out their "tech" stuff. I've heard songs like Flattening of Emotions and that one instrumental called like Sounds of Perseverance or some ****.

Genesis is alright. I just like Doom because it's extremely emotional for a death metal album. I hate As Blood Runs Black, you are correct. |

I hate As Blood Runs Black, you are correct.
Although I don't know why. You love JFAC. The only difference is JFAC is slightly heavier and doesn't have any gay moments. |

didn't you just answer your own question? |
Not really. There's not a huge difference on either count.
JFAC is only slightly heavier, and ABRB has a gay moment every 4 or 5 songs. |

every single song on Leprosy is memorable and if you dislike those, you should check out Symbolic because those albums are completely different. |

JFAC = good songwriting. As Blood Runs Black have very disconnected sounding riffs and seem to throw in breakdowns for the sake of breakdowns. |

JFAC is the sucks cuz liek they used to wear girl pants and had pig squeels.
Once more, there's not much death metal that's more emotional than Doom. |
I thought you liked ABRB hpb?
|
every single song on Leprosy is memorable and if you dislike those, you should check out Symbolic because those albums are completely different.
Symbolic is meh. |
Oh shit, I still need to check that one out, to satisfy all the Death fans in here...
(Symbolic that is) Mappy: I think that fits ABRB's music. I don't think it's disconnected at all. But even so, that alone cannot be a basis for absolutely hating a band that's similar to what you like  |
I thought you liked ABRB hpb?
Negs. I just think it's cool that they're not too high and mighty to talk to some of their fans. I shouldn't say they blow, I just see them as a less original version of All Shall Perish with less talent. |
Symbolic is meh.
you're meh. can you provide a reason for Symbolic being meh? |

And All Shall Perish is a less talented version of The Faceless. :) I love em both though. And Symbolic is great. Gene Hoglan's best drumming imo |

GTFO |

at one point every single member did.
|
even worse
they actually look like a metal band on stage now though, watching old videos of them with the sound off would be like watching a hawthorne heights cover band. |
JFAC is like a guilty pleasure.
i don't mind them occasionally, but i wouldn't want anybody to think that i liked them lol. |
entombment of a machine is fun to do vocal covers on...
when no one's looking |
And All Shall Perish is a less talented version of The Faceless. :)
