After college or when I have some form of income, it is a maybe. If I were to move to Texas it would probably be a yes.

I cannot really see into the future, but I just don't have time for it currently and my mom needs money.

Spaceman Spiff 11-09-2006 10:48 PM

At least I know the whole Spider-Man theme song.

I mean...

Exactly. I like the Ibanez, but it doesn't totally meet what I need from a bass right now.

for more to listen to of the band...

I enjoyed their stuff. But I've always been a sucker for female vocalists.
You might as well give it a shot. They seem to be on the rise too.

Go for it. :thumb:

I've been trying to log on for nearly two days now. ITS THE NETWORK LAWL.

In other news, once I sell the ibanez Ill have about $1100 in my stash for a new bass and guitar.

That's a bummer man.

I just quit one of my bands recently. It wasn't what i wanted. Very guitar driven. I had no say in any composition of the songs.

Doesn't matter though, my main band is currently in the midst of writing a whole bunch of new music. Most productive we've ever been. 3 piece bands are the best.

Woohoo, 700 posts.

sixner 11-09-2006 11:59 PM

my band just fell apart a few days ago... im pretty upset, it had real potential. our fan base was rediculous....

:upset:

but atleast it got my name out in the local scene... ive been able to talk to alot of the bigger bands around here and get advice as to what to do now....

i have 4 band offers in 3 days :thumb:

One Groovin Clown 11-10-2006 12:03 AM

That's awesome man.

I've only been in 3 bands, and 4 shows.
So i can't say that i'm we'll known.

However, my current band, Stelfox, kicked out 2 members for me.

They had a rhythm and bassist that contributed nothing and held them back to simple chord progressions. It made me appreciate myself as a musician.

sixner 11-10-2006 12:06 AM

hah, nice.
ive been in... i dunno...6-ish bands. REAL bands. like, doing live show bands, haha. i love being on stage...

i wasn't ever really known around here untill recently. I've come to gain alot of connections, thankfully. Im trying to actually get a studio session... this guy wants me to record some stuff and send it to him. if he likes it he'll consider me.
no real details, but i dont care. it'd be sweet regardless.

Just the fact that he's asking you is good enough.

I remember my 3rd show. Outside venue.

When we auditioned for it, we played on these terrible amps and drumsets.
The organizers were dancing in their seats. We even got an extra 20 minutes of showtime because we were their favourites.

Jody LeCompte 11-10-2006 12:10 AM

I'm playing in church and thats about it.

Outdoor shows are fun, IMO. Summer time breeze... but the heat n' such can get to ya.

extra 20 mins? nice....

I was really lookin forward to going on tour with my band this past summer, but it fell through :upset:

Jody LeCompte 11-10-2006 12:37 AM

I've completely disappeared from the local music scene.

Once I get my new instruments though...hmm...

Aerodyne 11-10-2006 01:04 AM

So, should I record the random metal song I just made up? I was screwing around with the crappy distortion on my amp and it just came to me.

:amaze: 11-10-2006 01:10 AM

yeah sure. just bass or what?

:amaze:

PaulSimonon 11-10-2006 01:15 AM

Hey guys.

(How're things Luke, if you're still around?)

Aerodyne 11-10-2006 01:37 AM

Yeah, I just recorded all the parts and it's amazingly ****ty. It's definitely. . . bad. I'm willing to share the bass part if anyone is interested, but it's really not that worthwhile.

One Groovin Clown 11-10-2006 01:43 AM

If you Insist.

HELLonWHEELS 11-10-2006 01:47 AM

Just bought a sixer

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160050317029

One Groovin Clown 11-10-2006 01:48 AM

Ibanez good choice.

Hope you have fun with it. I'm still having loads of fun with mine.

Congrats :thumb:

HELLonWHEELS 11-10-2006 01:51 AM

I'm going to sell this bass no matter what too. If i like the playing a 6ers then i'm going to sell it and get a higher end 6er if i don't like then i'll sell it and use the money to sart a fund for a new 4 or 5er.

One Groovin Clown 11-10-2006 01:52 AM

Good idea.
I bet you'll enjoy it. I sure as hell am.

Did you have any ideas in what type of 5 string you'd buy as a replacement?

Aerodyne 11-10-2006 01:54 AM

Just because I'm the kind, generous soul that I am, I will give you all an early christmas gift.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=531998

The gift of laughter at another's expense, that is. :upset:

Jody LeCompte 11-10-2006 02:20 AM

I hate my Ibanez. I hardly ever play bass anymore just because I can't stand the way it sounds.

lemoley 11-10-2006 05:58 AM

hey guys
