Nice job, that looks really nice.

Yeah, the Aquabats thing, really cool mans.

Oh my god, I want this on my walls, right now.

EDIT: It's the first one under "latex"

DaveToopes 01-08-2007 05:34 PM

I hear that stuff doesn't work well, like chalk doesn't even come close to fully erasing once you write on it. Maybe the person I talked to just didn't use enough coats though.

Twin Human Highway Flares 01-08-2007 06:15 PM

For a while I was thinking of putting whiteboards on all my walls, floor and ceiling. Just for fun, naturally.

Flagjacket 01-08-2007 06:58 PM

What so you can be an insane person without using thumbtacks?

Dude, they make spray-paint like that =/

My parents did it to my toilet seat, for parties.

And it erases just fine.

My dad *was* going to do that to parts of his car [he's still considering it], but opted for an extremely sucky painted-at-home matte black.

He's also going to stick a big spike on the hood and buy an ugly baby doll head and impale it on said spike.

And he wants to turn his car in to a pirate ship.

...><

AIRIC 01-08-2007 07:47 PM

Your dad rules. The only thing my dad does is crossword puzzles.

The Ska Man 01-08-2007 07:51 PM

I am SO buying a VW bus and turning it into a pirate ship..

Sunshine 01-08-2007 08:26 PM

Haha.

He only rules if you don't live with him.

It's like having a 10-year-old brother in charge of you.

That would be expensive as hell unless you ripped them off.

Then puts thier heads in the living room, or antlers in the agrage.

Well, you could try a more DIY approach through experimenting. To my knowledge, chalk works best on porous material, like asphalt which is made up of lots of tiny rocks, or wood which is lots of miniscule "valleys" on the surface, and why chalk doesn't work on smooth surfaces. So maybe if you got your desired paint colour and mixed it up with something to make it rougher, like maybe sawdust or that salt they use to melt snow on the roads. I guess basically experiment with as many fine bits and piece you can think of, until you find something that works. At that point, make it public, please.
That would be expensive as hell unless you ripped them off.
It wasn't so much a plan as a hypothetical musing.

The Ska Man 01-09-2007 09:13 PM

I liked the idea...If I, by any chance, ever become a bagillionaire with no hard work whatsoever(which is how it'll happen..if it happens), well, one of the rooms in my house will be like that...

coheneran 01-09-2007 09:17 PM

I think a medium-sized room with mirror walls that work like a whiteboard would be cooler, because then you could drop acid and spend the trippiest eight hours of your life doodling in that room, with everything reflecting back into infinity. You would trip out like mad dog on catnip.

Ghostfire3 01-09-2007 09:35 PM
For a while I was thinking of putting whiteboards on all my walls, floor and ceiling. Just for fun, naturally.
Only problem is your room would permanently smell like those dry-erase markers and the fumes would probably kill you in your sleep. But other than that, hey go for it!:thumb: :D

Twin Human Highway Flares 01-09-2007 10:16 PM

Yeah, some sort of ventilation system would be in order. I'd have to take out all the windows and replace them with whiteboard things that open. I like the smell, but the fumes would be undoubtedly harmful.

And yeah, acid doesn't really work with my edge policy. Though it's probably the one drug I'd do were I to break edge.

Sunshine 01-10-2007 06:14 AM

Acid? Seriously?

If you have a bad trip, it can come back and haunt you for like 10 years =/

My art teacher got arrested for acid back in like the 60s or something..every year someone looks up her criminal record online and tells everyone "OH MAN GUYS MRS G GOT BUSTED FOR ACID~!~~!!!!!"

Twin Human Highway Flares 01-10-2007 06:33 AM

Well, yeah, there's the bad trip factor, but if you set it up right, apparently it can be an amazing experience. If I was to do drugs, I wouldn't just want to get high, I'd want something really cool.

coheneran 01-10-2007 07:10 AM

Bad trips only happen if:

(a) You're going through a bad time in your life, depression etc. Never take any drugs if you're feeling bad emotionally.

(b) You try to fight the effects of the trip. You gotta lay back and enjoy it. Keep reminding yourself it's all happening because you dropped acid, lay back, and let the trip guide you, don't try to control it.

It is amazing fun.

If acid flashbacks are real, that's awesome. That's like two trips for the price of one! Unless they incorporate the price of the second trip into the price of the tab, in which case, bastards.

Sunshine 01-10-2007 12:43 PM

Dude, acid flashbacks can come at *any time.*

Like, when you're driving or at work and shit?

That's a bad, bad thing.

Which is why acid = not so good.

Well...one of the reasons, anyway.

asdf 01-10-2007 01:58 PM

According to my brother the acid collecting in your spinal cord thing is a myth, which implies that you cannot have flashbacks.

However, his own girlfriend used to be a heavy drug user and has claimed to have had flashbacks to bad trips.

But she has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, so she might have just been having a bad flashback. Hard to say.

Actually it's like getting ripped off twice. Why would you want to pay for multiple bad experiences?

mullets suk 01-10-2007 04:40 PM

a freinds freinds did acid and it messed his head really bad. if he doesnt chain smoke he'll start seeing images and stuff. (like look in a mirror and see three eyes instead of 2) im guessing that one of the smaller problems, but he said it gets alot worse.

as for me i dont do drugs. its not like im edge or anything, i just dont trust em.

Ghostfire3 01-10-2007 04:41 PM

How does chain smoking help?

Jon 01-10-2007 04:42 PM

i don't really have intention of doing acid.

i really fuck myself up when i do shrooms and stuff, like proper ego crushing and actually physically hurting me. couldn't deal with 12 hours.

*sticks to other substances*

Danger Bird 01-10-2007 04:50 PM

Flashbacks are a myth, but it's possible to get symptoms related to post-traumatic stress disorder.

I'd probably do acid 40 years ago, but these days pure acid is very hard to find, it's mostly just strychnine and speed.

asdf 01-10-2007 04:55 PM

It makes a whole lot of sense for her to be suffering from PSTD, because when she did heavy drugs was when most of the terrible things she has flashbacks about happened.

Ghostfire3 01-10-2007 04:56 PM

Someone provide me with hard evidence that flashbacks are a myth. I don't believe it.:o

asdf 01-10-2007 04:57 PM

I'm too lazy to look it up, and I don't even know for sure. My brother claims that because it's water soluable, it can't possibly be stored in your spinal cord for extended periods of time.

Jon 01-10-2007 04:58 PM

i've never got flashbacks from shrooms; i have the most intense adventures then forget them 10 seconds later :(

OH MY GOD I JUST HAD A FLASHBACK

no joke

oh my godddd that was amazing. like really nice.

but it was only because I was concentrating really hard trying to remember

eeee its back :)

it was this picture, some weird thing that associated really deeply with a happy memory from childhood or something, it made me feel really warm and comforted on the trip and its doing a similar thing now. :)

anyway.

I get proper flashbacks from mdma :(

Either read the drug thread in pnawi or try to find an actual documented case of one.

Ghostfire3 01-10-2007 05:59 PM

How am I going to find a documented case of one? Who the hell documents a flashback?

Flagjacket 01-10-2007 06:05 PM

The edge.

Sunshine 01-10-2007 06:11 PM

I know a guy who did shrooms.

He told me about his trip the next day.

He thought he was a Zombie King and the bathroom was his layer, so he walked around, locked in the bathroom, afraid to leave his layer, and....some other stuff.

~~

Oh, and by "did" shrooms, what I really mean is, he "does" shrooms.

Jon 01-10-2007 06:32 PM
I don't believe you.
I'm not even joking.

Everytime I picture this image it makes me feel fuzzy inside.

I can't even describe the image but its a proper deja vu thing.

omg i want some more shrooms, just for the hell of it.

I always try and pull my hands apart though. like dislocate the joints.

AIRIC 01-10-2007 06:33 PM

Haha you're such an idiot Jon.

DaveToopes 01-10-2007 06:47 PM

yeah seriously.
