MbMDrumMachine 08-03-2004 05:26 PM

Not at all.

GraveRobbersINC 08-03-2004 08:45 PM

Wow you really need to get some Rust in Peace, guitar ok!? Blasphemy!

Jester.Race 08-03-2004 08:48 PM

Mustaine's voice is horrifying. It takes a lot of getting used to. Most of their solos are great, but I prefer Metallica. Plus Mustaine is a whiny bitch, more so than Lars.

I also don't think Megadeth can even approach Metallica in the heaviness aspect.

METAL_MASACRE 08-03-2004 09:23 PM

i know nowon really cares but is anyone one going ot the metallica concert october 6th at the acc in toronto??

Plus, the song that got out was a song that they were still working on and it wasnt finalized material.

Kirk Hammetts Lead

I have a book on the art of Kirk Hammett with alot of his solos but I am having trouble understanding all the formulas that he uses. In the book it has E Pentatonic Minor, E Dorian, and E Aeolian in it. I need some help.

blockhead 08-03-2004 11:16 PM

If I voice my opinion on metallica and give some reasons to back up my opinion wull people actually listen or just flame me?

pony 08-03-2004 11:26 PM

Artists should play because they enjoy making music, not to make billions of dollars. Maybe some people like there music and don't have enough money to buy all of there favorite artists cd's. They make plenty of money off cd's, merchandise, and concerts to complain.

TallicaChic 08-04-2004 03:20 AM

I don't think the guys were viewing it as poor people not having enough money to buy cd's...how would they have a computer, or internet and things like that? They shouldn't want to try and steal from their fav band. Or bootleg unreleased material. It is about the music for them..along with many other older bands. People should get off the whole napster thing. It's old. Along with how the St. Anger cd sucks, (which it doesn't).

Captain Jack Sparrow 08-04-2004 03:21 AM

^ Yes it does. Kirk Hammett showed no talent on that album. That's not an arguable point.

TallicaChic 08-04-2004 03:31 AM

So What? He didn't feel like putting any solo's into it..didn't think it felt right..give him a freakin break. He wanted to just relax and enjoy playing without worrying about them. just beause a song or album doesn't have solo's doesn't mean it sucks.

Steve M. 08-04-2004 04:41 AM

There are solos in the St Anger songs when they play them live :thumb: it was so cool.

bassman03 08-04-2004 05:07 AM

are metallica gonna call it day after the next studio album????

the mind boggles

ccrraazzyy 08-04-2004 05:58 AM

i do not like metallica very much.....THE JUST WONT DIE. I cannot see how they are so popular. Sorta like ac/dc just another mainstream band that won call it quits

DisposableHeroes 08-04-2004 06:24 AM
']Plus, the song that got out was a song that they were still working on and it wasnt finalized material.
it was also illegal too

Kingofdudes 08-04-2004 07:39 AM
Artists should play because they enjoy making music, not to make billions of dollars.
Artists do this because they are making it and it is their job. Its kind of like if you grew plants for a living and everyone just took them saying since it came from the earth, they shouldnt need to pay for them. If your gonna say "Well they already got more than enough money" its still their product.
Maybe some people like there music and don't have enough money to buy all of there favorite artists cd's. They make plenty of money off cd's, merchandise, and concerts to complain
If you got the money for a computer, as far as im concerned you got money for CDs. You would be surprised to see how little an artist makes off a Cd, because they have to pay off their label before they can break even.

The Bell Tolls 08-04-2004 07:47 AM

i've heard that metallicas next (and perhaps last album :upset: ) will be a little like pink floyd.

Kingofdudes 08-04-2004 07:49 AM

hmmm? where did you hear this from? That would be an interesting album, but I doubt it will happen.
